THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced Marketing Manager to support Ancient + Brave’s ambitious growth trajectory in the USA. In this role, you’ll help deliver best-in-class marketing strategy whilst scaling brand awareness at speed, delivering bold marketing communications with creative to match and new product launches (NPD) launches that expand our customer base.
This is a crucial role that touches every part of our marketing mix and will be working across all commercial channels (Direct to Consumer, Amazon & Retail), executing marketing activations to launching new products, and owning all brand collateral. You’ll be an integral part of the team, working collaboratively and cross-functionally at all levels and with all departments (Content, Design, ECommerce, Partnerships, Nutrition, Retail, Events and Innovation) as well as external agencies and partners.
The role reports to the Marketing Director and will be based in the US, ideally in LA.

Key Responsibilities
Brand Guardianship:
- Ensure consistency in brand messaging, visual identity and brand voice across all channels and marketing materials - ensuring alignment with brand guidelines.
- Develop template materials for B2C partners and trade marketing.
- Oversee the creation of brand assets, including videography and photography.
Brand Strategy Support:
- Support in executing brand strategies aligned with the company's overall objectives.
- Constantly reflect on the brand's positioning, value proposition, and target audience (learning and refining where needed).
- Be the ‘voice of the consumer’ in the process, ensuring we design solutions to meet their needs.
- Engage with and manage consumer insight available, including brand tracking & social listening data - to learn more about their needs and wants, test assumptions and support the Marketing Director in turning it into insights to help shape brand activity.
- Support in conducting market research (when needed) to identify consumer trends, competitive landscapes, and opportunities for brand differentiation.
Marketing and Advertising:
- Develop marketing strategies & materials to scale across all channels (DTC, Amazon and retail marketing) and constantly assess performance to optimise our approach.
- Lead on identifying and executing relevant brand partnerships in Germany & Spain, that can benefit the brand on a global level.
- Partner with key networks and brands (e.g. wellness hubs, fitness studios and female networks) to reach our audience at scale with appropriate activations.
- Own the podcast media plan and budget, developing scripts and evaluating performance as well as advising on the best podcasts to partner with.
- Manage the production and delivery of assets for paid advertising, especially digital.
- Represent the brand at large-scale events across the USA where required.
- Execute and implement marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness and drive customer acquisition.
- Manage advertising initiatives across various channels as the brand grows, including digital, print, outdoor and TV/AV.
- Evaluate campaign performance and build out the brand reporting function, setting clear objectives and KPIs and sharing insights for continuous improvement.
- The initial focus of this role will be the US market, with scope to take on other territories in the future.
Project & Team Management:
- Manage multiple projects seamlessly and have a meticulous attention to detail.
- Work closely with the wider brand, digital and commercial/retail teams to ensure seamless, end-to-end integration across all channels & productive working relationships.
Budget Management:
- Support in managing the brand's marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximum return on investment.
Who You Are
To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills / knowledge / experience:
- Proven experience in brand marketing, ideally within the beauty or wellness industry, with direct to consumer and retail brands.
- Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering multi-channel campaigns.
- Ability to seek out and develop new opportunities for brand building, using existing networks and consumer insight available.
- Creative thinker with experience in developing and executing bold marketing communications.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
- Passion for consumer insights and data-driven decision-making.
- Have a number of commercially successful and highly regarded creative campaigns and NPD launches under your belt.
- A good understanding of key brand metrics and an ability to interpret data and ask the right questions.

Our Interview Process And What To Expect
- Application Review: We’ll start by reviewing your CV/application to ensure it’s a good fit for the role.
- Initial Phone Call (circa 15-20 minutes): You’ll have a brief introductory chat with our Talent Partner. We’ll discuss your experience, your career aspirations and explore how your values align with ours.
- Video Interview (circa 30 minutes): The next step is a virtual interview with the hiring manager, via Google Meet. This will be an introductory conversation featuring experience-based and competency-based questions. It’s also a great time to ask any initial questions you have!
- Interview Task: You’ll receive a task via email which you can prepare at home. This will form part of the discussion for the in-person interview. This will allow us to get a better understanding of your experience, skills and ways of working.
- Presentation Interview (60 minutes): You’ll meet with the hiring manager and one other team member and present your interview task and answer competency questions. This is also your opportunity to ask us any remaining questions.
- In-person (60 mins): You'll meet with the US Marketing Director if possible on the ground in LA/NY (dependent on where you are located) for a final round.
