You will be responsible for developing and delivering integrated marketing and communications plans that are competitive for the UK Direct to Consumer channel.
Ensuring clear alignment to the broader marketing strategy and corporate messaging, as well as contributing directly to the business objectives for this channel, you will be responsible for delivery of client focused communications that meet regulatory requirements.
How you'll spend your time...
- Support development and effectively execute the marketing strategy for the D2C market and investment trust client companies
- Achievement of marketing targets in line with agreed KPIs for the relevant business area, and Columbia Threadneedle Investments risk appetite
- Ensure all opportunities are maximised, including growing engagement with existing clients and attracting new clients
- Effectively execute all marketing activities within agreed budget
- Execute marketing plans that are client focused, meet business objectives, and are delivered on time and within budget
- Proactively develop and drive marketing activity to support key business areas leveraging insights from client and competitor research, building on previous learnings, and recognizing market developments
- Support Head of Channel Marketing (UK Direct) and Senior Marketing Manager in managing relationships with Investment Trust boards, including production of updates, reporting, and attendance at Boards, as required
- Build strong relationships with external agencies and internal teams supporting marketing activities, including digital marketing, CRM, PR, video content, product and market analysis, literature, presentations, social media, events, and research
- Optimize marketing initiatives to ensure effective ROI, focusing on digital campaigns
- Continuously improve existing activities, sharing learnings with the team
- Ensure all regulatory requirements and internal guidelines are strictly followed
To be successful in this role you will have...
- Solid experience in a similar Direct/B2C marketing role
- Client-focused, commercially driven, with a good understanding of financial drivers
- Proactive, accountable, and ownership-oriented
- Proven ability to develop and implement marketing strategies from planning to measurement
- Sound knowledge of the full marketing media mix, including promotions and communications relevant to Direct/B2C
- Experience managing campaigns from briefing to execution, reporting, and analysis
- Strong project management skills, with a track record of delivering on time and within budget
- Ability to manage external agencies and internal stakeholders effectively
- Creative mindset, willing to challenge norms
- Knowledge of the investment management industry is preferred
- Expertise in Digital Marketing, including CRM, PPC, SEO, and social media
- Proficient copywriting skills for content development
- Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
- Strong presentation skills, with experience communicating to senior management
- Experience with WordPress or similar CMS, and website content management
- Experience with campaign management tools like Workfront is a plus
