The Role
We're looking for a strategic, confident Marketing Manager to join our global team and lead marketing efforts that engage university leadership, educational partners, and government stakeholders.
This role is central to how we move up the value chain - shifting from product-level conversations to institution-wide and government-level partnerships. You'll help raise awareness, build credibility, and support strategic deals by positioning Pearson's full higher education portfolio in a way that resonates with senior decision-makers.
You'll develop global strategies, messaging, and campaigns - then work closely with regional marketing teams to ensure they're executed effectively on the ground.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and lead global marketing strategies that position Pearson as a trusted partner to governments, university leaders, and strategic education initiatives
Own and evolve the narrative for our pan-Pearson higher education offering, tailored to institutional and public-sector needs
Utilise and influence thought leadership (developed by our Centres of Excellence) to support global campaigns and ensure alignment with partner priorities
Provide messaging frameworks, toolkits, and strategic guidance to enable geo marketing teams to deliver locally
Support business development by aligning marketing with major proposals, tenders, and partnership opportunities
Partner with the Events team to shape the global events calendar and deliver high-impact activities for senior audiences
Collaborate with government engagement teams, partnership leads, product marketing, and regional stakeholders to ensure consistency and strategic alignment
Measure and report on marketing effectiveness across brand awareness, stakeholder engagement, and commercial influence
What We're Looking For
A strategic marketer with experience engaging senior stakeholders in B2B, education, or public sector environments
Skilled in messaging, positioning, and creating marketing that can scale globally and adapt locally
Strong collaborator, confident working across a matrixed organisation and building alignment between global and regional teams
Able to balance high-level strategy with hands-on delivery and practical execution
Passionate about the role of education and the power of partnerships to drive positive change
