The Opportunity

Cardiometabolic and Informatics (CMI), part of ARDx business, are recruiting for a Marketing Manager based in Abbott’s Maidenhead office, who will support SouthWest Europe and LAC regions.

This is a new position, which requires up to 30% travel across the regions.

As a Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for growing the Cardiometabolic portfolio in the respective region. This involves developing strategic market approaches, engaging with customers, and lead generation in collaboration with sales teams. The role requires building key relationships with healthcare stakeholders and strategic partners to identify opportunities and fulfill needs aligned with Abbott’s technologies and capabilities.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Develop targeted marketing campaigns for the pharmacy channel.
  2. Understand local market dynamics, customer needs, health economic factors including reimbursement, and competitor strategies to develop and execute annual strategic business plans.
  3. Provide forecasts, business reports, and relevant information to regional/divisional management.
  4. Collaborate with local opinion leaders to influence market adoption of reimbursement policies.
  5. Monitor local competitor activities regularly.
  6. Plan and execute strategic programs for product launches to meet sales and profit targets.
  7. Organize and participate in congresses, workshops, and scientific events.
  8. Support strategic planning by analyzing data to inform strategies and align organizational priorities.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  1. Bachelor’s degree in science or business-related field.
  2. MBA or master’s degree preferred.
  3. Experience in the pharmacy channel.
  4. Previous sales and marketing experience.
  5. Spanish language skills are a plus.
  6. Experience in the medical device industry, preferably in a matrix organization.
  7. Knowledge of diagnostic point-of-care products and their role in healthcare.
  8. Business planning and project management skills.
  9. Analytical, creative, and operational marketing skills.
  10. Understanding of sales environments in Europe, Latin America, and Canada.
  11. Creative thinking and change management abilities.
  12. People management and coaching skills.
