About Us

KnowledgeBrief is a leading provider of leadership and management apprenticeships, delivering exceptional learning experiences through our innovative digital platform, comprehensive training, and engaging content. Our clients span media, financial services, government, retail, and NHS Trusts. As we scale further, we're looking for a commercially-minded, strategic Marketing Manager to bring our brand and campaigns into closer harmony across channels - and reach new landmark audience sizes.

Marketing Manager - Role Overview

This new position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of marketing at KnowledgeBrief. Working closely with the Commercial Director and Design & Brand Manager, the Marketing Manager will lead the development and execution of a unified, measurable marketing strategy that pulls together all channels under one dynamic, coherent plan. The ideal candidate will be both creative and data-driven - bringing structure to ideation, insight to implementation, and accountability to outcomes.

The role requires strategic foresight, practical delivery, and a passion for evaluating success. Whether it's setting KPIs, analysing campaign effectiveness, or optimising multichannel outreach, your work will directly drive our reach, visibility, and business growth - including the ambitious target of sustained, meaningful exposure to 1 million UK managers.

Why Work With Us

At KnowledgeBrief, we believe in growing people - that includes our team. You'll benefit from:

  • Monthly CPD time and study days for personal development
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave + bank holidays + a 2-week winter shutdown
  • Two weeks paid company sick leave
  • 24/7 wellbeing and support services via Health Assured
  • Flexible work arrangements and a supportive, inclusive team

Marketing Manager - Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy & Channel Planning

  • Lead the creation and execution of an integrated marketing plan that unites all channels under a clearly defined strategy.
  • Identify optimal channels, allocate focus and investment, and outline expected timescales and milestones.
  • Develop campaign frameworks that are neither too high-level to lack traction nor too detailed to lose agility.

Audience Reach & Brand Visibility

  • Deliver a roadmap to reach record numbers of UK managers, ensuring they consistently see and recognise the KB brand across digital touchpoints.
  • Analyse channel impact and audience behaviour to continuously refine reach and retention strategies.

KPI Ownership & Performance Reporting

  • Define and own measurable KPIs across all marketing activity.
  • Establish feedback loops to analyse performance and provide regular reports that influence strategic direction.

Lead Generation & Campaign Management

  • Oversee lead generation strategies, working with digital marketing team members to implement and optimise campaigns.
  • Ensure a healthy pipeline of quality leads aligned with our programme goals, particularly CMI courses and apprenticeships.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Line-manage a growing team across digital marketing and lead generation.
  • Champion a collaborative, goal-driven culture that empowers creative thinking and results-driven experimentation.
  • Work closely with the Digital team to ensure seamless processes across SEO, SEM, and website content (hands-on experience advantageous but not essential).

Brand, Content & Comms Oversight

  • Lead email, blog, press release, and campaign collateral creation that's consistent with our voice and brand values.
  • Curate and share success stories through case studies to support client engagement and conversion.

Market Insight & Innovation

  • Stay attuned to market trends and competitor activity to inform campaign design and messaging.
  • Bring innovative thinking that enhances our brand profile while staying grounded in commercial impact.

The Ideal Candidate

Our perfect fit will be both thinker and doer: a strategic mind who enjoys building structure, delivering ideas, and measuring what matters. You'll be energised by the opportunity to shape marketing from the ground up - and motivated by clear targets and shared success.

You will ideally have:

  • Experience developing multichannel marketing strategies that deliver real visibility and results
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing tools, lead generation, and content planning
  • Practical knowledge of campaign performance analysis and reporting
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience managing people or projects with collaborative leadership
  • A proactive, creative, and commercially savvy mindset

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with SEO, SEM, PPC tools, and platform management
  • Experience with platforms like Mailchimp, Outlook, Brevo, and CMS tools
  • Confidence working in an ambitious, values-led environment

Join Us! If you're excited to shape the strategic future of marketing at a mission-driven organisation, we'd love to hear from you. Please submit your CV and we'll be in touch.

I look forward to hearing from you!
