This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the most iconic and successful race teams in the world, Atlassian Williams Racing.

The Marketing Manager, Gaming will deliver industry-leading marketing support to enable performance at the highest level, while ensuring the company’s values and behaviours are applied consistently across all team activity. Reporting to the Director of Esports, this role will play an integral part in developing the future of the gaming and esports business to enhance the Williams brand and reputation.

This role will lead day-to-day marketing across the full scope of the team’s activity, while also being the key point of contact and collaboration for each of the marketing functions within the wider Williams team. With a particular focus on the business side, including content, social & media, fan engagement, partnerships, events and merchandise & licensing.

The role will split time between our offices in central London (Tottenham Court Rd) and Grove, Oxfordshire.

Main Duties

  • Manage and supervise all gaming-related marketing projects and campaigns from beginning to end, ensuring alignment and effective cross-team collaboration, working to achieve shared brand, fan engagement and revenue objectives, and lead reporting and evaluation to inform future strategy.
  • Engage the broad Williams Marketing team on delivery of all gaming-related promotional activity, including briefing and collaborating with the Content, Social, Fan Engagement, Events, Communications and Creative teams, as well as managing the requirements of esports players and other personnel.
  • Manage the marketing aspects of relations with team partners, including proactive planning and delivery of collaborative campaigns, analytics and reporting, through collaboration with the Partnerships team and wider Esports team.
  • Liaise with the Merchandise & Licensing team to leverage opportunities for gaming and esports products and retail to support the marketing strategy.
  • Instil a professional, supportive and collaborative culture into team operations, contributing positively to an environment aligned on behaviours and practices, driven by the overall Williams brand and values.
  • Ensure that correct processes, policies and behaviours are communicated and implemented throughout all team functions and related personnel.
  • Liaise with third party agencies and suppliers, building strong working relationships and managing output.
  • Attend events as required to represent the team, the brand, and manage on-site delivery of events and campaigns.
  • Act as a brand champion, ensuring the Williams brand is represented correctly and consistently across all outputs.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience working in Marketing in sports or entertainment - either inhouse or agency.
  • Ideally exposure across partnerships, events and content.
  • Relevant qualification in a related subject eg. Marketing/Business/Events/Communications would be a benefit.
