Focus areas Customer journeys and engagement, owned and paid campaign delivery, acquisition and switching, payments growth, and programme delivery

About the role

We are looking for Marketing Managers to plan and deliver marketing on a contract basis. Each role will focus on a mix of the areas below, depending on business priorities:

  • Customer journeys and engagement: improve onboarding and in-life journeys so customers become active and do more with us.
  • Campaign delivery: take campaigns from brief to live across owned and paid channels.
  • Acquisition: win new customers, including switching and premium product acquisition.
  • Payments growth: increase debit card and digital wallet usage.
  • Programme delivery: keep internal teams, partners and agencies aligned and delivering to plan.

The role suits an organised, analytical marketer who is comfortable with data, manages several workstreams at once and turns insight into campaigns.

Key responsibilities
  • Customer journeys and engagement
  • Map the new customer journey from sign-up and find where customers drop off.
  • Design onboarding communications that drive activation, first card use and digital wallet set-up.
  • Review in-life communications, identify gaps and overlaps, and build triggered, data-led journeys for key customer moments.
  • Deliver campaigns that encourage customers to hold and use more products.
  • Work with CRM and data teams on segmentation, targeting and journey set-up.
Owned and paid channel delivery
  • Deliver campaigns across owned channels, such as email, push notifications, website and direct mail.
  • Deliver campaigns across paid channels, such as paid social, paid search, display and partner media.
  • Turn campaign plans into briefs, timelines and channel schedules, and keep delivery on track.
  • Coordinate approvals and launch checks, working with compliance and risk teams so communications meet regulatory requirements.
  • Manage day-to-day work with agencies and internal creative teams.
Acquisition

Deliver campaigns that encourage customers to switch to the product and make it their main way to pay.

Run incentive and prize draw campaigns from launch to close, including entry communications, terms and conditions, and winner communications.

Deliver owned and paid campaigns that acquire new customers into premium card and payment propositions.

Track switching, activation and acquisition volumes, and suggest improvements.

Payments growth: debit and digital wallet

Deliver campaigns that encourage customers to use their card for everyday payments.

Drive digital wallet adoption and usage, from set-up to first transaction.

Analyse spend and transaction data to find opportunities and measure campaign results.

Work with product and payments teams on offers, incentives and messaging.

Programme delivery and governance
  • Build and maintain the integrated programme plan, with milestones, dependencies and owners, and flag delays or blockers early.
  • Run programme governance, including steering meetings, status reporting and the RAID log (risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies).
  • Coordinate briefs, timelines, reviews and approvals across internal teams, partners and agencies, with clear handovers and ownership.
  • Act as a point of contact for programme updates and escalations, and track spend against the agreed budget.
Performance and reporting

Track engagement, retention, product-holding and channel metrics, and share results and learnings.

Produce regular performance reports and dashboards for marketing leads and senior stakeholders.
