Job description

MARKETING MANAGER - FASHION/ STREETWEAR/ SPORTS D2C & B2B

CENTRAL MANCHESTER - head office based role

Our client was founded in 2017, and is one of the UK’s fastest-growing Fashion Houses with an experienced team of around 70 people. Specialising in design, sourcing, sales, and distribution, we work with major online platforms and high-street retailers across the UK, Europe, and North America. They are a growing Brand House combining iconic names like Bench, Hype, and NICCE with operational excellence and a clear path for scalable growth.

They are now looking to recruit an experienced Marketing Manager who has a combined background in both D2C / B2B online and offline marketing ideally within a fashion/sports/athleisure background.

The Marketing Manager plays a pivotal role in delivering their brand strategy, communication, and activation plans. An example day in the role could involve: presenting ideas to a third partner retailer for an upcoming retailer campaign, identifying and booking a creative production team for an upcoming photoshoot day, aligning with the eCom function on upcoming commercial promotions and briefing content requirements, providing feedback on a talent partnership proposal, and reporting on the previous month's social media performance.

Our client operates a portfolio of brands, including streetwear label NICCE, fashion brand Bench, and kids backpack & clothing brand Hype. The successful candidate will report into the Head of Marketing and lead across 1-2 brands.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Contribute to brand strategy and objectives, brand tracking set-up and reporting, and annual planning.
  2. Act as brand champion for the business. Contribute to and present company updates and internal presentations.
  3. Work with Creative Production and Graphic Design teams to ideate, produce and deliver creative and marketing assets across eCom, wholesale retail, and marketing requirements.
  4. Manage social media accounts, trend identification, ideating and refining creative concepts, content briefing and roll-out, and reporting.
  5. Manage influencer, collaboration, PR & talent outreach, briefing, partnerships, events, and reporting.
  6. Manage and grow relationships with wholesale retail partners. Brief and deliver retailer marketing activation plans and content requirements for both in-store and digital channels.
  7. Input into the eCommerce function to support site, email, affiliates & paid ads activation plans and content requirements.
  8. Manage budgets and invoicing.
  9. Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure brand consistency and to support the go-to-market process.
  10. Manage stakeholders by collating monthly/quarterly marketing reports and maintaining brand calendars.

Skills and experience:

  1. 4-5 years marketing experience within fashion, streetwear, sport, or adjacent fields.
  2. Follow and navigate industry, consumer, and cultural trends.
  3. Social media native with a passion for the platforms.
  4. Demonstrated project management skills, including prioritisation and managing multiple projects.
  5. Strong collaborator with experience building and managing strong relationships, specifically with external parties.
  6. Ability to approach tasks with a creative eye, coupled with commercial acumen.
  7. Self-motivated and comfortable getting stuck into all areas and tasks.

This is a full-time office-based role. The office is in the heart of the Northern Quarter in Manchester, a short walk from nearby tram, bus, and train stations.
