Job description

About The Role

Our vision is to nurture PEI Group and our business information and event brands to become must-have resources and networks, so that private market investors, managers and service providers can better meet their business objectives and outperform in their markets.

The marketing team will be strategic partners to the business, collaborating to design and deliver customer‑centric, creative and high‑performance programs which improve brand preference, engage more market professionals and underpin commercial success.

This is a fixed‑term maternity cover role. The Marketing Manager – Events, based in London, will own the end‑to‑end marketing of PEI’s Infrastructure Investor events portfolio: five events a year, comprising the flagship Infrastructure Investor Global Summit (IIGS) and the London, America, Japan and Korea events. Working closely with event producers, delegate and sponsorship sales, editorial and operations colleagues, the Manager will plan and deliver multi‑channel campaigns that drive delegate registrations and revenue, secure high‑quality investor (LP) attendance, support sponsorship sales and maximise attendee engagement. The successful candidate will need to get up to speed quickly, picking up live campaigns across several events running at different stages of their lifecycle.

Responsibilities
  • Own the marketing strategy and plan for each of the five Infrastructure events – IIGS, London, America, Japan and Korea – aligned to delegate revenue, investor attendance and sponsorship targets.
  • Pick up live campaigns from handover and maintain momentum across events at different points in their cycle (e.g. one event in peak registration while another is launching).
  • Build and manage a rolling campaign calendar across the portfolio, balancing overlapping timelines, regions and time zones.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the infrastructure investor community – LPs and institutional investors, GPs and fund managers, developers, operators and service providers – segmenting audiences by persona, region and seniority.
  • Use historical event data (registrations, attendee mix, conversion and rebook rates) to forecast, set pacing targets and identify growth opportunities.
  • Partner with event producers and content teams to turn agendas, speakers and themes into compelling, audience‑specific campaign messaging.
  • Tailor marketing for the Asia‑Pacific events (Japan and Korea), taking into account local market dynamics, localisation needs and regional partners.
Day to Day Responsibility
  • Plan and execute multi‑channel campaigns across email (Marketo), paid and organic social (particularly LinkedIn), PPC, website, partner and media‑partner channels, and advertising across PEI’s Infrastructure Investor brand.
  • Manage event websites and registration pages with the Digital Marketing Operations (DMO) team – agenda and speaker updates, pricing deadlines, offers and promo codes.
  • Deliver targeted investor (LP) acquisition programmes, including personalised invitation campaigns and outreach, in collaboration with the event and investor relations teams.
  • Support sponsorship sales with prospectuses, sales collateral, sponsor marketing toolkits and sponsor promotion, plus post‑event reporting for sponsors.
  • Brief Design, Video and DMO teams and external agencies on creative for all stages of the delegate journey – brochures, ads, banners, email, onsite branding and event app content.
  • Work with Editorial to cross‑promote events through Infrastructure Investor content, newsletters and podcasts.
  • Manage media and association partnerships, including partner promotion and reciprocal agreements.
  • Report weekly on registrations versus target, channel performance and pacing, with clear recommendations for improvement.
  • Manage marketing budgets for each event, tracking spend and return on investment.
Onsite and Post‑Event
  • Potentially attend events, including international travel to the America, Japan and Korea events and IIGS, supporting onsite marketing, attendee experience and content capture (photography, video and testimonials).
  • Lead post‑event activity: attendee surveys and NPS, content repurposing, and early‑bird and rebook campaigns for the following year.
  • Capture and share learnings after each event to continually improve the portfolio’s marketing approach.
Role KPIs
  • Achieve delegate registration and paid delegate revenue targets for each event.
  • Deliver qualified LP/investor attendance targets, by both volume and quality.
  • Drive marketing‑contributed sponsorship leads and support sponsor satisfaction and renewal.
  • Meet campaign performance benchmarks (e.g. engagement, conversion and cost per registration) within agreed budgets.
  • Improve attendee satisfaction (NPS) and year‑on‑year rebook rates.
About You
Experience & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience of 5+ years in B2B event marketing, ideally across a portfolio of conferences with paid delegate and sponsorship revenue.
  • Experience in financial services, private markets or infrastructure is highly desirable.
  • Track record of marketing multiple events simultaneously to tight deadlines, including international events; experience of Asia‑Pacific markets is a plus.
  • Hands‑on experience with marketing automation (ideally Marketo), CRM (e.g. Salesforce), CMS/event websites, registration platforms and LinkedIn advertising.
  • Data‑driven – comfortable tracking registrations against target, analysing campaign performance and adjusting plans quickly.
  • Copywriting – produces compelling, audience‑specific copy that drives registrations and engagement.
  • Highly organised – able to juggle overlapping event timelines, priorities and stakeholders.
  • Quick to get up to speed – able to pick up a handover and run with live campaigns with minimal ramp‑up time.
  • Collaborative – builds strong working relationships with producers, sales, editorial, design and operations teams.
  • Commercial – never losing sight of revenue targets and ensuring plans are delivered to achieve them.
  • Resourceful – uses initiative to solve problems, overcome obstacles and complete projects.
  • Willing and able to travel internationally for events and to work flexibly across time zones around event dates.
Benefits & Perks
  • 25 days of annual leave plus 8 bank holidays, with additional leave for long service and a gifted Christmas break
  • 10 days rolling sick leave

  • 4 paid volunteer days per year
  • On site 24/7 gym with classes and full facilities
  • Life insurance (4x basic salary) and 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme
  • Private medical insurance (post-probation), annual eye tests and DSE eyewear allowance
  • Pension scheme with 4.5% matched contributions and enhanced matching over time
  • Cycle to work scheme, interest‑free travel loan and employee referral bonus
  • Summer Fridays
