Job Description

Please note this is a 12 Month FTC.

Support the NEC Digital Studio business and the wider NEC SWS brand in customer acquisition and retention, including within Health and Public Sector Digital Transformation.

As a Marketing Manager, you'll need to:

  • Create and develop customer acquisition programmes with a focus on User Centred Design and Digital Transformation across public sector organisations – including Health, Justice, and Central Government.
  • Communicate with target audiences and build clear understanding and recognition of UCD capacity and training.
  • Implement marketing campaigns including advertising, direct marketing, digital, and media relations to drive new business and client retention for NEC.
  • Work closely with in-house or external creative agencies to design marketing materials such as brochures and adverts to promote NEC Digital, including training, service design, and user-centred research.
  • Write and proofread marketing copy.
  • Produce creative content, including videos and blog posts.
  • Oversee content creation for NEC Digital UCD and training-focused social media channels.
  • Organise and attend events such as conferences, seminars, receptions, and exhibitions.
  • Arrange the effective distribution of marketing materials.
  • Conduct market research, for example using customer questionnaires and focus groups.
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external.

And with support, you'll need to:

  • Support the development and implementation of a communications strategy for wider NEC SWS, with a focus on Health and Justice activities.
  • Manage stakeholders' expectations.
  • Track marketing performance and ROI, and prepare monthly reports for management.
  • Monitor and report on competitor activity.
  • Lead external agencies, when appropriate, to manage events, press relationships, editorial requests, presentations, promotional materials, and online activities.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • The ability to ‘hit the ground running’.
  • Public Sector Marketing experience – particularly in Health, Justice, and/or Technology.
  • Demonstrable experience as a senior marketing manager.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to change, with experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience of B2B lead generation techniques.
  • Proven success in improving ROI.
  • Self-starter with the ability to take ownership.
  • Able to manage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent communication skills.
