At Orion, we believe every story matters. Open, agile, passionate and innovative, our mission is to bring the best publishing to the greatest variety of people. Ambitious to continually raise the bar, we believe good stories can come from anywhere and we encourage and value contributions from all our staff.
Our multi-award-winning and collaborative Communications team has a proud track record of delivering high-impact, creative, sales-driving campaigns that bring our books and gifts to the widest possible audience.
This is an exciting opportunity to join Orion’s award-winning and dynamic Communications team, working across a varied list of fiction, non-fiction and gift publishing. As a confident and creative campaigner, you will play a key role in delivering consumer-focused marketing campaigns and will work with a wide range of authors and creative partners.
We are looking for someone with demonstrable experience in delivering creative and effective marketing campaigns. You will enjoy working as part of a supportive team and relish the opportunity to flex your creative muscles – always with an eye on our commercial goals.
Our team plays a key role at every stage of our books’ and gifts’ journey, from acquisition to publication and beyond. You will be innately curious about consumer behaviour and will be able to demonstrate how that has been applied in a consumer-focused marketing role; experience working on publishing or gift campaigns is a bonus, but not essential.
You will be experienced across all aspects of marketing and adept at working collaboratively with publicity, sales and creative teams to craft pitch-perfect strategies that place the consumer at the heart of every campaign. Thoughtful planning, excellent budget management and timely execution will be hallmarks of your work.
You will also be well versed in all aspects of stakeholder management and ideally have experience in working across large teams, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
Our staff are our greatest asset, and our benefits reflect this:
The role will be based at our London or Sheffield office, with a blend of in-office (3 days) and homeworking (2 days) per week.
