Established in 1984, MAK-SYSTEM’s vision is to design, develop, and deliver globally best-of-breed software to manage Blood, Plasma, Tissue, and Cells from end to end using the best technologies and functionalities for the patient’s benefit. Our software solutions continuously support the digital transformation of organizations such as:

  • Blood Centres
  • Plasma Centres
  • Transfusion Services
  • Tissue Banks
  • Stem Cell Labs
  • Cell and Gene Therapy (SME to Big Pharma, CMOs, Hospitals)

Following a private equity investment in 2020, the business is undergoing a period of rapid growth and transformation. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for
managing the MAK Corporate brand as well as each Product brand. This will include identifying and delivering annual marketing priorities to build corporate and product brands to build awareness in the industry and further our commercial agenda to drive growth. This role will also have responsibility to support the People team on employer branding and recognition, particularly in North Macedonia

MAK-SYSTEM products are regulated as Medical Devices and marketing content.
This is highly commercial role that is hands on with the creation of materials and messaging. The roles
requires the ability to work across multiple areas and stakeholders, to
set priorities and roll up sleeves to deliver outcomes.
This “doing” role requires the ability to independently generate ideas and create marketing materials.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy and Planning

  • With the Chief People & Sustainability Officer update and continuously refine the MAK-SYSTEM corporate brand, images and key messages.
  • With the Sales and Product teams, develop and continuously refine key product messages to support the commercial agenda and embed the messages in external communications and materials.
  • With the People Team, identify employer branding messages and create programme to communicate and embed the employer brand internally and to promote externally.
  • With the Chief People & Sustainability Officer, create key internal and external messages on MAK-SYSTEM’s ESG agenda.

Branding

  • Manage the external agency who partners with MAK-SYSYEM to create branding materials.
  • Manage the suite of MAK-SYSTEM logos, including partnering with Finance to ensure Trademarks of logos and names
  • Ensure internal and external comms and imagery support the MAK-SYSTEM brand and imagery.
  • Own and embed the use of standard collateral such as Corporate Powerpoint slides, Official Letter Head, email signature block, product demonstration visuals and other elements to create a professional and cohesive corporate image.

Digital Marketing

  • Day-to-day responsibility for managing and improving the MAK-SYSTEM website.
  • Day to responsibility for managing and improving the MAK-SYSTEM Linked In and Facebook sites
  • Create and implement quarterly Linked In and Social media campaigns focused on Corporate Messages, Employer Branding Messages and Product Messaging.
  • Set up and manage digital marketing activities such as Pay per Click and SEO.
  • Own the digital platform, messages and materials used to communicate with MAK-SYSTEM customers, supporting the Global Commercial Director and Commercial team to generate ideas and create content for existing customers.
  • With regional Commercial team, create and execute email sales campaigns for existing and potential customers.
  • Introduce and implement a data-driven
    marketing
    and analytics approach

Marketing Collateral

  • Responsibility for managing, creating and improving MAK-SYSTEM product brochures.
  • With Commercial and Product colleagues, generate ideas and create marketing collateral such as white papers, webinars, conference presentations, customer case studies, press releases, news articles,
  • Support the Global Commercial Director to prepare materials and messaging for annual IMUG conferences.
  • With the Commercial teams, prepare standard “first pitch” presentation materials.

Regulatory Compliance

  • Understand the regulatory compliance impacts across all jurisdictions on how our products can be marketed and what they can say.
  • Partner with MAK-SYSTEM’s Regulatory Team to obtain regulatory approval of marketing materials.
  • Ensure our website, campaigns and initiatives are in accordance with Data Privacy Regulations.
  • Ensure all materials and messages are in line with product Regulatory Approvals.

Key Experiences/Qualifications

  • Previous experience in marketing in a regulated medical device or pharmaceutical organisation
  • Previous experience in global marketing and working across many countries
  • Tech oriented and able to understand how tech is transforming healthcare to deliver better results for patients
  • Understanding of blood transfusion or CGT would be an advantage
  • Understanding of SAAS or PAAS would be an advantage
  • Track record of rolling up sleeves to create marketing materials and messages
  • Strong relationship builder, able to partner with stakeholders to create and deliver priorities
  • Proactive and self-motivated to identify and act on improvement opportunities
  • Self-starter and adaptable with an outcome-led focus
  • Ability to organise and prioritise tasks, and manage workload effectively
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English (verbally and in writing) is essential
  • Spanish, French, or German beneficial
