ASR Group is the world’s largest refiner and marketer of cane sugar, with an annual production capacity of more than 6 million tons of sugar. The company produces a full line of grocery, industrial, food service, and specialty sweetener products. Across North America, ASR Group owns and operates six sugar refineries, located in Louisiana, New York, California, Maryland, Canada, and Mexico. In the European Union, the company owns and operates sugar refineries in England and Portugal. ASR Group also owns and operates mills in Mexico and Belize. The company’s brand portfolio includes leading brands such as Domino, C&H, Redpath, Tate & Lyle, Lyle’s, and Sidul.

In this role, you will lead the UK brand & e-commerce team for ASR Group Europe (ASRGE). The team consists of a Marketing Assistant, two Brand Managers, and a Digital Marketing Manager, along with personnel delivering e-commerce fulfillment. The team manages the Lyle’s brand (No.1 Golden Syrup), Tate & Lyle (No. 2 in Sugars), and Whitworths (No. 4 in Sugars), as well as overseeing specific e-commerce activities. Responsibilities include producing annual brand plans, executing targeted activations, achieving e-commerce targets, and maintaining owned media channels.

This is an exciting period for the business as we focus on new product development (NPD) projects, with this position playing a key role. The team and larger marketing function will support these initiatives to ensure success.

Location: WC2E 9HE (Hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 days remote)

DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Own and implement annual brand plans to ensure marketing goals are met through the marketing mix, aligning with innovation, sales, and other teams.
  2. Oversee agencies and internal resources to deliver marketing activations, including creative development and media planning.
  3. Lead team members managing owned media channels (web and social media) to maintain performance.
  4. Guide team in developing successful e-commerce storefronts, customer acquisition strategies, fulfillment, and performance management.
  5. Build strong cross-functional relationships with external agencies, marketing colleagues, sales, and related functions to ensure alignment on projects.
  6. Manage budgets to maximize value and ROI, setting and controlling annual marketing spend.
  7. Maintain product portfolios for optimal profitability, supporting periodic reviews with analysts and sales teams.
  8. Develop and coach team members, clarifying responsibilities and fostering professional growth.
