Marketing Manager

Description

The successful candidate will work with the Head of Marketing and other senior stakeholders to support growth through the execution of marketing and communication plans to enhance the profile of the business and win strategic mandates.

You will work on integrated marketing campaigns across the firm, ensuring the latest issues and challenges affecting our clients are addressed through multiple channels including events, thought-leadership pieces, PR, social media and website content.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Working with the Head of Marketing and relevant partners and stakeholders to drive forward and develop the marketing for the business.
  2. Supporting the development, implementation and delivery of online and offline campaigns and marketing initiatives using the full range of routes to market.
  3. Working closely with all teams to fulfil content requests and maintain the content and social media calendar.
  4. Preparing content for marketing and sales collateral, including capability brochures, client proposals and supporting documentation for tenders.
  5. Implementing the firm's PR plan, including researching, planning, drafting, and submitting press releases and legal/industry awards applications.
  6. Event management, including events with a regional and national focus.
  7. Working collaboratively with other support functions to provide a seamless service to the business.
  8. Helping to identify business leads and emerging opportunities through use of our industry memberships, market research and analysis.
  9. Supporting key partners and stakeholders in client targeting and business development initiatives.
  10. Providing business intelligence on key competitors and marketplace trends, identifying ways of gaining a competitive advantage in the market.
  11. Supporting other marketing department and firm wide initiatives, as required.
  12. Challenging traditional marketing techniques and embracing technology and cutting-edge approaches to drive connectivity with our client base.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  1. Experience within a marketing and BD role, ideally from a professional services firm, is desirable.
  2. Experience in delivering, or supporting the delivery of marketing plans, campaigns and initiatives including strategic events, creation and activation of thought leadership, marketing communications and business development activities.
  3. Ability to prioritise the right activities that deliver value to our business.
  4. Previous experience will demonstrate an ability to support campaign-based activity and an ability to use influencing skills to gain credibility across all levels within the firm.
  5. Demonstrate analytical skills and attention to detail.
  6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  7. Proactive, enthusiastic and empathetic.
  8. Professional manner, personable and approachable.
  9. Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the market. You will interpret sector specific issues to devise effective and winning approaches, taking into account client perspectives.
  10. A flexible, "can-do" mentality.
  11. Attention to detail.
