This post holder takes responsibility for leading marketing efforts for one of UCAS's key customer segments. From go-to-market and product launch to positioning, branding, competitive analysis, features, USPs, lead generation, and customer success activities, you will champion your product category or audience segment, helping to grow its customer base and meet revenue targets. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across Sales, Product, Operations, and more, overseeing the entire marketing strategy.
Key accountabilities:
- Develop and manage the marketing strategy
- Work closely with sales and product teams to identify opportunities to add value for customers and grow your segment
- Develop a structured B2B sales funnel, continuously optimizing the UCAS sales process
- Define and lead the development of the UCAS B2B brand story and proposition for your segment, bringing it to life through engaging content
- Prepare clear briefs for product communications and promotional campaigns, and analyze results for stakeholders
- Develop value propositions for customers, articulating product benefits and values, and provide training and sales materials for colleagues
- Design and implement go-to-market strategies for new products, bundles, or packages
Skills, qualifications, and experience
- Proven experience in B2B marketing, with an understanding of the education or commercial market segment
- Track record of aligning sales and marketing activities
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Extensive marketing experience
- Strong, persuasive communication skills to influence internal and external stakeholders
- Proven results delivery and excellent project management skills
- Experience in delivering tangible revenue outcomes
- Commercial acumen
- Experience building and nurturing key stakeholder relationships
- Creative thinking with the ability to implement outcomes
Package
Salary: up to £38,000 - Fixed Term Contract until April 2026
