Job description

Location: Office-based, near Cheltenham

We have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Manager to join our high-performing sales and marketing team.

This is a hands-on role with strategic influence for someone who craves variety, enjoys making things happen, and wants to be part of a market-leading business doing genuinely meaningful work. You’ll be responsible for shaping and delivering marketing activity for ModuleCo, the UK’s leading healthcare off-site construction company, while overseeing a small in-house creative team who support the wider group of companies.

You’ll work closely with our Sales and Marketing Director to develop strategy, then roll up your sleeves to support live projects, deliver campaigns, manage events, and create stand-out materials and content. It’s a broad role with real impact that is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to take ownership.

Role Overview

As our Marketing Manager, you will lead ModuleCo’s marketing activity and manage a small creative team who also support all businesses within our group. Your focus will be on developing and delivering strategic marketing plans that build brand visibility, generate enquiries, support project communications, and empower our sales team with the tools and content they need to succeed.

You’ll be equally comfortable setting direction and getting hands-on. From writing copy and briefing designers to coordinating photo shoots, creating brochures, planning events, managing social media activity, and optimising websites for SEO performance – it’s a role that requires a comprehensive skill-set.

Main Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement ModuleCo’s marketing strategy, aligned with sales strategy and targets
  • Plan and deliver targeted campaigns to promote our products and unique approach to construction
  • Conduct market research and monitor competitor, partner, and client activity
  • Manage activities in line with agreed budgets
  • Stay up to date with marketing best practices and latest developments in MarTech to benefit our strategy and activities

Content & Channels

  • Manage and grow our web and social media presence
  • Lead the creation of compelling written, visual, and video content for digital and print
  • Support project communications and liaise directly with external stakeholders
  • Develop and deliver PR opportunities, including client site launch/tour events and working with industry press

Project & Event Support

  • Support live healthcare projects for the NHS and private sector with OOH advertising, communication, resource sharing, and social value initiatives
  • Coordinate photography, video direction, and content capture of our products and projects
  • Plan and manage events, from national healthcare conferences to live project stakeholder engagements

Creative Team Management

  • Line-manage the creative team (graphic design and visual/video content), supporting their development and managing workloads effectively
  • Oversee document design, visual asset creation and management, and brand consistency
  • Manage freelance, subcontractor, and agency relationships

Performance & Reporting

  • Monitor marketing effectiveness and report key performance to operational and senior teams
  • Provide feedback on campaign, event, and project outcomes
  • Oversee SEO/SEM performance and reporting
  • Financial reporting and budgeting

Operational & Team Tasks

  • Coordinate and review internal communications
  • Conduct team general administration
  • Support HR with recruitment marketing and new starter inductions
  • Maintain marketing SOPs and a large media asset library

Skills & Attributes

Essential

  • Excellent written communication
  • Solid marketing strategy and campaign planning experience
  • Hands-on experience creating and managing content across web, social, print, and video
  • Proficient using Adobe InDesign
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Events management experience

Desirable

  • Experience with WordPress CMS and working with web design agencies
  • Familiarity with SEO/SEM principles
  • Understanding of photography and video production, direction, and editing (basic ability to edit photos and video also favourable)

Personal Attributes

  • Proactive and self-motivated – able to take the lead and get stuck in
  • Able to switch between strategic thinking and practical delivery
  • Flexible and adaptable – comfortable in a fast-moving environment
  • Approachable team player with a collaborative people-centred mindset
  • Creative thinker and problem solver
  • Strong attention to detail

Experience

We’re open-minded about your industry background, but you’ll hopefully have:

  • 4+ years in a marketing role with broad responsibilities and practical experience
  • A record of successful campaigns and marketing outputs you’ve delivered
  • Leading and upskilling a team
  • Working across B2B and public sector audiences
