Summary: We’re hiring for a new Marketing Manager to support our growing business and focus on our Engineering and Technology sectors. We would appreciate you taking the time to review our advert if you work in the field and are considering a job move.

In this role you would be accountable for taking the high-level business strategy of the NCC, identifying, developing, executing and evaluating campaigns and plans that drive business growth and position NCC as a world leading Research & Technology facility.

This is a very holistic role in a fast-paced environment where you will be both hands on and strategic running multiple projects. You’ll translate complex information into high quality creative and written content!

You’ll sit in the Chief Business Office and play a key role working with the Strategic Account Management, Services & Customer Portfolio, and Technology Strategy teams to successfully identify, develop, and execute marketing campaigns.

  • Proactively translate allocated NCC high level strategic objectives into marketing and communications campaigns that drive business growth.
  • Develop and execute integrated, high impact campaign plans (strategic and operational) in conjunction with Strategic Account Management, Strategic/Customer Portfolio Management teams that market NCC services.
  • Maintain and evolve allocated marketing & communications activity grids detailing events, exhibitions, campaigns, speaking opportunities, collateral, content, demonstrators.
  • Monitor, measure and report on the return on investment and effectiveness of campaigns.

Channels, Tactics & Content:

  • Create high quality, engaging written and visual content across a range of mediums and channels including but not limited to film, case studies, press releases, social media, infographics, thought leadership,print, exhibits, demonstrators.
  • Create a regular drumbeat of engaging, impactful content.
  • Take a proactive approach to content generation, forecasting upcoming events and announcements and identifying relevant activity. Mining stories and narratives from Strategic Account Management, Sector, Engineering, and Skills teams.
  • Responsibility for creating and updating new and existing web content and brochureware.

Events, Exhibitions & Speaking Engagements

  • Identify and secure relevant events, speaking opportunities and exhibitions.
  • Working with the External Affairs, Strategic Account Management teams and Events Manager to deliver customer, sector, governmental and inward investment visits.
  • Creation of marketing and communications content for events.

So, what are we looking for in your application?

We like to see diverse applications and welcome people from different industries. Specific experience we will look for in your CV would include;

  • Prior career experience in Marketing Manager (or similar) role with experience leading your own campaigns, producing high quality written and digital content.
  • Ideally, you’ll have a background in a related industry such Research & Development, Technology, Engineering or Manufacturing for example. non-technical language, creating film, thought leadership, case studies, social & web content.
  • Experience of using online graphic design tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite.You’ll be hands on with these tools to create content!
  • Demonstrate a high standard of written skills for thought leadership, management of social media, web & associated content development.This is critical!
  • Ability to create, develop and execute high quality campaign plans
