Reports to: Head of Marketing

Line management: May oversee freelancers, partners or junior staff as campaigns require

This role leads the planning and delivery of strategic, multi-channel campaigns that position FlashAcademy as the leading EAL and ESOL platform in the UK and internationally. With a focus on trust-level and international education partnerships, the Marketing Manager will drive account-based marketing, strategic lead generation and develop clear, compelling messaging to support new products and market growth.

The marketing team’s goal is to generate qualified leads across three core markets: UK EAL, International EAL, and UK ESOL. Together, we’re building FlashAcademy’s reputation as a trusted voice in EAL and ESOL – supporting sustained growth and ensuring more learners receive the language support they need.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and implement integrated, omnichannel marketing campaigns from strategy to execution, ensuring alignment with core growth targets and company mission.
  • Own our account-based marketing (ABM) strategy to drive engagement with Multi-Academy Trusts and international school groups, working in partnership with the Sales team.
  • Develop and manage high-impact campaigns on themes such as raising EAL standards, policy influence and thought leadership, incorporating but not limited to lobbying, PR and teacher-focused resource creation.
  • Work cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Success, Design and external stakeholders to co-develop and deliver campaign assets.
  • Plan and manage advertising budgets, while ensuring effective budget optimisation and a shift towards organic and earned marketing where appropriate.
  • Oversee campaign reporting and ensure accurate ROI tracking using Salesforce and Pardot; work with the Performance Marketing Manager to align on attribution and insights.
  • Collaborate with the Events and Marketing Executive on campaign-aligned event strategy, ensuring campaigns are supported through webinars, in-person events and conferences.
  • Shape messaging and positioning for new and evolving products, working closely with the Product, Sales and Success teams to ensure clarity, consistency and impact across all touchpoints.
  • Create persuasive multi-media content, including but not limited to campaign landing pages, case studies, policy briefings, video briefs and email journeys.
  • Support brand awareness in priority sectors through a mix of earned, owned and paid activity.
  • Contribute to customer retention through advocacy and nurture campaigns, aligned with campaign themes.

Essential skills and experience required

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • All round marketing experience with a digital-first approach but that understands how to weave in traditional tactics appropriately to achieve outstanding results.
  • Proven experience developing and managing end-to-end integrated marketing campaigns with measurable impact.
  • Strong understanding and hands-on experience in account-based marketing strategies and B2B lead generation.
  • Ability to turn big-picture goals (e.g. lobbying, policy influence) into practical, campaign-driven marketing activity.
  • A data-driven mindset – comfortable using insights to shape strategy and refine approaches.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work at pace across multiple projects.
  • Clear communicator with strong stakeholder management skills, able to influence both internally and externally.
  • Experience managing third-party suppliers or agencies.
  • Collaborative, adaptable and committed to our mission and values.
  • Adept at creating, implementing and reporting against strategy and objectives as part of a team.
  • Able to create brand and campaign stories using multi-media content for a range of channels – case studies, blogs, thought leadership, press and PR through written, video, audio and visual tools.
  • An interest in the education or tech space.

Desirable skills and experience

  • Understanding of the EAL, ESOL and / or EdTech space.
  • Experience working with UK school trusts and / or international education groups.
  • Knowledge of the UK education landscape, especially trust-level decision-making.
  • Experience in lobbying or advocacy marketing campaigns.
  • Familiarity with PPC, paid social media, SEO and attribution modelling (in partnership with our Performance Marketing Manager).
  • Knowledge of Salesforce and Pardot for campaign building and performance tracking.
  • Experience managing webinars and in-person speaking slots – from creating content to sourcing and managing speakers.
