Due to increased business growth, a new opportunity has arisen to join our expanding Smallridge Bros’ team. The position is based at our head office in Barnstaple, with responsibility for marketing across all four depots. This position can be either full-time or part-time for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Marketing Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans to promote our range of cutting-edge agricultural machinery. Collaborate with Sales and Aftermarket teams to align marketing efforts with business objectives.
2. Ensure consistent branding across all marketing platforms. Work towards enhancing and maintaining the dealership's image as a trusted provider of quality agricultural machinery.
3. Act as a liaison between the dealership and John Deere marketing personnel, leveraging Deere’s marketing resources.
4. Ensure appropriate marketing and public relations communications for all departments.
5. Design promotional materials for events, demos, sales incentives, and job openings, working to a brief or often on your own initiative, drawing on your own commercial awareness.
6. Create a quarterly glossy sales newsletter, demonstrating strong copywriting skills, and redistribute this material throughout the year as high-quality print ads.
7. Conduct field visits and interviews to create written and video product testimonials.
8. Record machinery videos and capture high-quality machinery photography, making content available to the wider sales team.
9. Create a visual record of company events and use this material periodically to enhance the brand asset.
10. Create engaging and informative content for our social media platforms, both for our machinery sales team and after-market departments.
11. Organize and coordinate events, product launches, and demonstrations to showcase our machinery and foster connections with customers and industry partners.

Skills:

• Proficient in the use of social media tools to promote and create brand awareness.
• Website development, management, and SEO experience preferred.
• Proven ability to lead and inspire others.
• Effective communication skills, both one-on-one and within groups.
• Creative writing and innovative ideas.
• Experience with Publisher/InDesign and Photoshop is an advantage.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, or a related discipline preferred.
• Ideally 5+ years of marketing and graphic design experience.

Knowledge:

• Familiarity with agricultural products is an advantage.
