Job description

THE ROLE

We’re looking for an ambitious, creative, and commercially minded Marketing Executive to join our fast-paced, collaborative, and highly dynamic marketing team at Smart Group — a leading collection of hospitality, catering, venues, and events businesses.

Reporting to the Marketing Director and working closely with the broader marketing team (including the Senior Marketing Managers, Graphic Designers, and Marketing Assistant), the Marketing Executive will take the lead on key brand campaigns, manage content and channels across digital and print, and play a pivotal role in supporting the growth and success of multiple group brands and products.

This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with 2+ years of relevant experience seeking to advance their marketing career and gain exposure to a diverse portfolio of brands and projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social, and print media, ensuring alignment with brand and business objectives.
  • Own day-to-day management of key social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, X, TikTok), from strategy and scheduling to content creation and reporting.
  • Create compelling written and visual content for email newsletters, websites, brochures, and blog posts.
  • Analyse and report on marketing performance using tools such as Google Analytics and Meta Business Suite, making strategic recommendations for improvement.
  • Support the development and execution of paid advertising campaigns, including social media and PPC.
  • Collaborate closely with internal departments, venue teams, and external suppliers to ensure timely and on-brand marketing support.
  • Maintain and update websites using CMS platforms, ensuring accuracy, SEO best practice, and visual consistency.
  • Oversee the content and delivery of monthly email campaigns via Pardot/HubSpot, including segmentation and performance tracking.
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of client events, industry showcases, trade shows and group brand launches.
  • Line manage and mentor junior members of the team where appropriate.

About You

What you’ll bring:

  • 2 years’ plus experience in a marketing role, ideally within hospitality, events, or lifestyle brands.
  • Confident copywriter with a strong grasp of tone, grammar and brand storytelling.
  • Demonstrable experience managing social media platforms and creating content.
  • Knowledge of digital tools including CMS (preferably WordPress), email platforms (preferably Pardot/HubSpot), and social media schedulers.
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Analytical mindset, with confidence interpreting data to inform strategy.
  • Basic design skills (Canva or Adobe Creative Suite) desirable.
  • Passion for events, hospitality, and creativity.

Education

  • Degree in Marketing, Media, Communications, Psychology, English or a related field or relevant professional qualification and demonstrable industry experience.

Additional Details

  • Standard working hours are 9 am to 5:30 pm. However, flexibility outside these hours is required.
  • You’ll be joining a marketing team of seven, which includes the Marketing Director, Senior Marketing Managers, Marketing Executive, and two Graphic Designers.
