Marketing Executive
Hours: 37.5
Permanent/Fixed Term: Permanent
Location: Cheltenham
Key Objectives
Supporting across all elements of the marketing mix including social, ecommerce, influencers, paid media and customer service to help the continued growth of our all-year-round brands.
You will work under the direction of the Senior Marketing Manager and with the wider teams such as sales, brand and SLG’s design team, to ensure cross functional alignment and the delivery of key projects.
The role will work across a multitude of SLG brands throughout the year as agreed with your line manager.
Key Tasks
Social Media, Brand Partnerships and Influencers
- Own the brand social media commenting strategy and execution for your key brands.
- Monitor, audit and reply to comments posted on social media content daily.
- Run the product gifting outreach program for your key brands.
- Develop brand partnerships for social media across your key brands every month
- Reply to direct messages, and customer service enquires, building and maintaining a matrix of Q&A’s in brand tone of voice.
- Recommend, source, and manage relationships with potential influencers/ambassadors/UGC creators across your portfolio of brands alongside the Social Media Manager, to include briefing, legal agreements & invoicing.
- Work with the Social Media Manager to create weekly trend reports.
- If required support with the buying of paid social media ads across your portfolio under the guidance of your line manager
Asset Management & Production
- Brief & manage the creation of cross-channel marketing materials and assets through the Design Studio, in close collaboration with the Traffic manager.
- Main contact for the development of instore retailer POS and campaign assets
- Management of brand folder from Marketing team perspective
- Ad hoc content creation for Instagram and TikTok, utilising CapCut, Canva or other such tools
Retailer support
- Own the end-to-end management of SLG’s Bazaarvoice campaigns and day-to-day platform use.
- Audit, monitor and maintain brand and retailer websites ensuring information remains up-to-date, accurate and optimized.
- Support on key marketing materials (such as sell in decks, approved photography/images) with external distributors, retailers and/or agencies.
- Support Ecommerce Manager across our branded eCommerce channels and websites as required.
- Support in keeping the marketing section of brand bibles/guidelines up to date with the latest materials and assets.
- Support with the creation of retailer presentations and when appropriate the delivery of these presentations.
Market Research & Reporting
- Assist the Senior Marketing Manager with competitor & market research, identifying trends, demographics, social media strategies, and other relevant information that will help develop global marketing plans.
- Create reports and undertake detailed data analysis of campaigns and ad performance to inform future strategy.
- Support the Senior Marketing Manager with the data and analysis for the quarterly scorecard and monthly media laydown meetings.
General Administration
- Manage PR database, distribution of press releases and ongoing relationships with journalists, bloggers and writers.
- Raise purchase orders & manage invoices for the marketing team, managing sign-off through the correct channels and correct filing of all documentation.
- Maintain the marketing samples and marketing cupboard and be proactive in keeping these organised.
- Organise marketing stock orders and team deliveries.
- Any other activities/work that may occur to help support the running of the marketing department.
- Work alongside Office Manager to carry out general office administrative tasks as required.
Qualifications & Experience Requirements
- Marketing related degree or similar qualification
- Excellent project management skills
- Excellent standard of English language and mathematically astute
- Fully conversant with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint
- Working knowledge of website content management systems, knowledge of Direct Mail comms beneficial
- Conversant in all social media platforms – in particular TikTok
- Previous marketing experienced is preferred but not essential

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the business and with external marketing agencies
- Methodical and analytical with good attention to detail, particularly when managing the marketing budgets and analysis of results
- Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment and using initiative to take on board new tasks with the flexibility to change direction and approach
- Strong team player with a willingness to support others in the team and help the team out in different areas which you may not have experience in or be on your direct brand
- Excellent understanding and passion for the beauty category and marketing trends
