About GSMA Industry Services Marketing
Industry Services marketing is the glue that binds together our sales, product, legal, finance and sales support colleagues. Industry Services is a global team with a global customer base of over 2,000 organisations, both GSMA members and non-members.Our portfolio of services is grouped for simplicity into 3 areas, namely Device, Network and Certification services. We deliver a variety of valuable data, resources and tools that improve and support global connectivity by underpinning important interoperable backend functions.
The marketing team, based in London, is split between GTM and BAU functions.
The wider Industry Services team has a current headcount of: 6 Product, 5 Sales, 2 Sales Support, 6 Marketing, 1 Legal & 1 Finance who are located across Atlanta, Barcelona, Buenos Aires, Hong Kong, London & Luxembourg.
This role requires close collaboration with not only the Industry Services wider team, most especially the Head of Industry Services but also other internal GSMA teams and stakeholders including Membership, Technology, Brand & Content, PR, Legal, Finance, and the GSMA events business.

About the Role
The Marketing Director will primarily be responsible for producing and implementing the strategy and marketing plans that support the Industry Services business and its respective product and sales targets.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with the GSMA Industry Services’ business KPIs leveraging your understanding of both technology and marketing trends.
Lead Generation and Conversion: Deliver high-quality leads and support movement through the sales funnel for all services. Collaborate closely with product, sales & sales support teams to optimise lead handoff processes and improve conversion rates - key to hitting monthly & annual lead KPI targets.
Product/Service Marketing: Creating and delivering customer-centric B2B go-to-market plans for each product/service to drive success globally against ambitious growth plans.
Positioning and Messaging: Define the overall GSMA Industry Services customer-centric value proposition, the value proposition for the 3 product groupings and the value propositions for key services. Work with the team to develop compelling messaging that resonates with the target audiences. Ensure consistent messaging across all marketing channels.
Campaign Management : Supervise team to deliver coordinated marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, social media, email, events, and traditional paid advertising. Monitor campaign performance and optimise strategies for maximum effectiveness.
Content Strategy: Develop a content strategy that reflects the marketing strategy to educate, engage, and convert the target audience. Create and oversee the production of high-quality content such as blog posts, customer success stories, case studies, interviews, and webinars.
Digital Marketing : Oversee digital marketing initiatives, including social media and email marketing. Stay updated on digital marketing trends and technologies to drive innovation.
Customer Engagement and Retention: Implement strategies to engage existing customers, drive cross-selling, and support ongoing customer retention.
Analytics and Reporting : Ensure the team utilise marketing analytics tools to track key performance indicators (KPIs), measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, and provide regular reports and insights to stakeholders.
Team Leadership and Management: Lead and mentor a team of marketing professionals, and provide guidance, support, and professional development opportunities to team members.
Budget Management: Develop and manage the marketing budget for Industry Services Marketing initiatives, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximising ROI.

• A strategic thinker with global creative campaign experience who will be able to ensure high-quality creative briefs are written and work delivered is on brief
• Able to build strong collaborative relationships with the Head of Industry Services, the Industry Services Sales Director, the Product Directors and our partners and customers
• Can straddle the role of global product marketing, marketing communications and internal communications
• Experience in launching new services, including delivery of naming strategy and value propositions
• A challenger – not afraid to flag when things do not make sense or when technical speak gets in the way of clear communication, and has an instinct for when things are not ‘on brand’
• Preferably has global experience in telco, technology, cloud or ICT services
• Able to travel occasionally globally.
