Job description

As a global, private equity-backed corporate business, we operate at a fast pace with demanding customers, supplying equipment across various markets. As the Marketing Director, you'll control a GBP 1M budget, delivering a comprehensive marketing strategy aimed at achieving double-digit growth. You will have complete accountability over core marketing channels, including digital, branding, and both internal and external communications.

Salary: GBP 90,000 - GBP 110,000 + 20% STIP

Job Description: Marketing Director

You will play a vital role in directing the marketing function and strategic development of the brand in the UK. This position requires a dynamic leader proficient in ensuring the visibility of the marketing function, partnering with key stakeholders to ensure consistency with both our internal team and external customers.

Role: We seek a candidate with strong commercial acumen who can implement strategies, lead process transformations, and exceed customer expectations while engaging and guiding the internal team. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Management: Providing leadership and mentorship to the marketing team, ensuring engagement, professional development, and alignment with company objectives. Collaborating with leadership to drive strategy and performance.
  2. Marcomms: Developing and executing trading and campaign plans, creating engaging campaigns for various markets and audiences, overseeing internal and external communications, and delivering the customer value proposition through all channels.
  3. Digital and CRM: Leading digital marketing efforts, managing websites, CRM systems, and data journeys, and working with agency partners for seamless execution.
  4. Branding: Reviewing and refining the customer proposition to align with market expectations and brand positioning.
  5. Marketing Intelligence: Gathering and analysing customer insights, managing NPS initiatives, and developing new product and market propositions based on feedback and trends.

Proven Experience: Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment (e.g., food, automotive, pharmaceuticals, construction) within a larger matrix organization. Experience in leading and developing a remote/hybrid team (5-10 staff). Demonstrated management style embodying visibility, approachability, knowledge, and accountability. Ability to interpret marketing data to drive business growth.
