As a global, private equity-backed corporate business, we work at pace with demanding customers supplying equipment into a wide range of markets. As the Marketing Director, you'll control a GBP 1M budget and deliver a comprehensive marketing strategy capable of delivering double-digit growth. You will have complete accountability over core marketing channels, digital, branding, and internal and external communications.

Location: Home Based

Commutable locations: Working throughout the UK, ideally based in the Midlands (Sheffield, Nottingham, Derby, Birmingham, Leicester, Northampton, Peterborough, Milton Keynes, Oxford, Coventry, or Wolverhampton).

Job Description: Marketing Director

You will play a vital role in directing the marketing function and strategic development of the brand in the UK. This position requires a dynamic leader proficient in guaranteeing the visibility of the marketing function, partnering with key stakeholders to ensure consistency with both our internal team and external customers.

Role: We are looking for a candidate with robust commercial acumen, capable of implementing strategies, engaging in process transformations, and exceeding customer expectations, while keeping the internal team engaged and involved. Key elements include:

  • Management: Provide leadership and mentorship to the marketing team, ensuring high engagement, professional development, and alignment with company objectives. Collaborate with leadership to drive strategy and performance.
  • Marcomms: Develop and execute trading and campaign plans, creating engaging campaigns for various markets and audiences. Oversee internal and external communications, delivering the customer value proposition through all channels, including bids and tenders. Foster colleague engagement through effective messaging.
  • Digital and CRM: Lead digital marketing efforts, managing websites, CRM systems, and data journeys. Work with agency partners for seamless execution.
  • Branding: Review and refine the customer proposition to ensure market alignment and strong brand positioning.
  • Marketing Intelligence: Drive insights through Voice of the Customer (VoC), manage NPS initiatives, and develop new product and market propositions based on customer feedback and trends.

Proven Experience: Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment (e.g., food, automotive, pharmaceuticals, construction, or similar), preferably within a larger matrix organization. Experience in leading and developing a remote/hybrid team of 5-10 staff. A management style embodying visibility, approachability, knowledge, and accountability. Ability to analyze marketing data to drive business growth.
