Job Description

As Marketing Director, you will own Publicis Media’s market presence and thought‑leadership in the UK. Reporting to the CGO/COO, you’ll define and execute a clear, compelling voice for our proposition. This is a dual strategic‑and‑hands‑on role: you’ll set the marketing strategy and key messaging to go-to-market, work cross‑functionally with our agency brands, and lead execution across digital channels, video content and industry events to ensure we remain top of mind among senior marketing leaders.

You’ll partner closely with the CGO on overarching messaging, collaborate with Starcom, Zenith and Spark Foundry on awards and success stories, and develop co‑marketing initiatives with industry names and platforms. Your ultimate goal: position Publicis Media as an easy‑to‑find, go‑to authority in media and marketing.

Responsibilities
  • Define and shape Publicis Media’s in‑market voice, ensuring consistency across all channels and communications.
  • Partner with the CGO to develop key messaging pillars, value propositions and strategic frameworks.
  • Own a structured LinkedIn and publishing calendar – producing thought pieces, client success stories and trend insights to engage senior marketers.
  • Ensure all content and channels (website, social, search) are optimised so that Publicis Media is easy to find online.
  • Commission and oversee creation of short‑form, easy‑to‑digest video assets highlighting our products and propositions.
  • Curate an industry events schedule; brief and coach Publicis Media speakers; co‑develop compelling decks and speeches aligned to our narrative.
  • Work with agency brand leads to identify award opportunities, manage submissions and promote successes internally and externally.
  • Develop joint campaigns with platforms and thought‑leaders (e.g. Meta, Google, Ian Whittaker) to amplify our reach.
  • Monitor engagement metrics and ROI across campaigns, events and content; report findings with data‑driven optimisation recommendations.
Qualifications

What are we looking for?

  • Extensive marketing experience, with a proven track record in senior leadership within a media or creative agency.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing strategic marketing plans that drive thought‑leadership and measurable results.
  • Deep understanding of B2B content channels (especially LinkedIn) and experience creating compelling digital and video assets.
  • Excellent at building working relationships across multiple agencies, internal leadership and external partners.
  • Demonstrable experience planning and managing high‑profile industry events and speaker programmes.
  • Strong communicator able to influence senior stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Comfortable with analytics tools; able to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Balances creative thinking with hands‑on execution, managing multiple workstreams and tight deadlines with precision.
