Job summary

Loughborough Town Hall is a full-time Marketing and Development Manager role within Charnwood Borough Council. The venue hosts theatre, galleries and events, welcoming 100,000+ yearly visitors and aiming to grow audiences and income.

The post focuses on promoting shows and exhibitions, raising the profile of the venue, and developing new commercial initiatives with strong collaboration to reach targets. Leadership of four staff is included.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering large-scale promotional campaigns across multiple channels.
• Experience briefing designers and suppliers for campaigns.
• Experience developing sponsorship and hire/banqueting leads.
• Knowledge of website development desirable.

Job description

Loughborough Town Hall is looking to recruit to the full-time role of Marketing and Development Manager.

Loughborough Town Hall is multi-purpose receiving house theatre, Art gallery and venue, set in the heart of Charnwood in Leicestershire and welcoming over 100,000 people per year.

Hosting over 250 performances and events per year, including an award-winning annual pantomime, Loughborough Town Hall has a varied programme attracting nationally acclaimed acts and productions across the world of comedy, drama and musical theatre.

The Role

The post holder will be responsible for the effective marketing of all the venue’s shows, events, and Gallery exhibitions, alongside raising the profile of the venue and manage communication with audiences, stakeholders and media contacts. The post holder will be tasked with developing new commercial initiatives and the successful marketing of them to customers.

The post has line management responsibility for four staff, Programme and Marketing Officer and Programme and Marketing Assistant, Events & Hire Officer and Gallery Co-ordinator.

The Person

The ideal candidate will have experience of managing and creating large-scale promotional campaigns across digital and traditional media, briefing and working with Graphic Designers and suppliers, alongside developing sponsorship and hire/banqueting leads to contribute to the venue’s income targets.

Knowledge and experience in website development would be desirable, but not essential.
