We are currently recruiting for a Marketing Design Manager to work with us on a 12-month maternity cover contract.

Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 per annum depending on experience

Location: Flexibility to work from home, travel to London Head Office - 1-2 times a week

Working Pattern: 40 hours per week - Monday - Friday

Key Responsibilities:

Overall purpose of job:

  • Providing creative direction for SME, Brand and Marketing across CH&CO Group. Championing projects that are strategically astute, creatively sensitive and culturally aware with an emphasis on driving results and supporting best practice, brand strategy and greatest ROI for CH&CO Group House of Brands.
  • A go-to for creative problem solving, managing cross-agency innovative solutions to projects such as bids, brand, consumer-facing marketing, interiors, etc.
  • Budgeting and financial processes, account management for third-party relationships, delivery of presentations, focusing on economies of scale across CH&CO brand projects.
  • Supporting key areas including Marketing, People, L&D, Comms, Tech, Procurement, Sustainability, CH&CO Charity and Sponsors, CH&CO Marketing Portal, etc.
Key Responsibilities
  • Creative leadership and relationship management: Lead and manage creative design work for the business, fostering a creative environment. Inspire and collaborate with internal designers and external agencies, maintaining relationships and pushing boundaries.
  • Thought leadership: Conceptualise, moodboard, script, design, and deliver presentations that reflect our brand values. Possess deep technical knowledge of the complete design process from concept to delivery.
  • Forecasting, planning, scheduling and budgeting: Manage the annual design schedule, prioritising tasks, ensuring high standards within time and budget constraints. Support Sales, Marketing, and SMEs.
  • Research, manage and deliver: Conduct strong research to support content production. Be creative and forward-thinking, articulating ideas clearly and translating requirements into briefs for designers.
  • Relationships: Act as a key contact for brand and graphic design for internal customers and clients.
  • Communication: Ensure effective processes are in place for delivering high-quality work from design to delivery.
  • Creative and technically astute: Stay ahead of trends and innovate to future-proof our creativity.
  • Brand guardian: Develop and maintain compelling visual guidelines across platforms, adapting tone for different channels.
  • Competitor and industry awareness: Keep updated on trends in foodservice and design, reflecting findings in creative work.
Skills
  • Degree or diploma in design (preferable).
  • Ability to manage and deliver focused creative briefs for compelling marketing communications.
  • Copywriting and editing skills, with awareness of customer needs.
  • Experience in nurturing talent and building cooperative teams.
  • Effective time and project management skills, capable of juggling multiple projects.
  • Outstanding portfolio demonstrating creative, impactful designs.
  • Strong understanding of the hospitality industry with an integrated design background.
  • Confident presenter and communicator, able to give and receive constructive feedback.
  • Deep understanding of brand and consumer connection.
  • Business-minded approach, aligning projects with overall strategy and goals.
