What is the purpose of this job?

National Marketing Strategy is a key rail industry initiative to drive incremental revenue. RDG is responsible for delivering the strategy through three key marketing programmes, alongside other network-wide activities. We are seeking a Marketing Delivery Manager to coordinate the planning and execution of annual marketing activities across National Marketing, Railcards, and other industry propositions.

What experience, skills, and knowledge are required?

Essential

  • Experience managing marketing activities across multiple workstreams and propositions
  • Strong planning, risk management, scope control, and reporting skills
  • Proven ability working with marketing and third-party agencies
  • Experience creating reports tailored to audience needs and developing suitable content
  • Stakeholder mapping skills to understand influence and impact
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Budget management and cost control experience

Desirable

  • Experience with project scheduling tools and techniques
  • Experience with project management tools like Asana or JIRA
  • Experience delivering marketing or commercial projects in the rail industry
What will I do in this role?
  1. Lead planning and scheduling of marketing initiatives into a comprehensive delivery programme
  2. Define and manage scope, risks, changes, and dependencies to support strategic objectives
  3. Collaborate with internal teams and agencies to ensure deliverables and timelines are met
  4. Identify and manage interdependencies between workstreams, avoiding overlaps
  5. Develop detailed delivery plans for FY26 and beyond
