Job summary

Bournemouth University is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to join its Marketing, Recruitment & Communications team in the UK. The role focuses on creating, coordinating, and publishing engaging content to support student recruitment and brand building.

You will work across BU’s channels, collaborating with the Creative, Campaigns, and Student Recruitment teams to develop storytelling that aligns with brand standards. Hybrid working and flexible arrangements are available.

About The Role

Are you a creative and organised marketing professional who enjoys developing engaging content, telling compelling stories and supporting the delivery of impactful marketing campaigns?

We're looking for a Marketing Coordinator with strong content skills and a keen eye for detail to support Bournemouth University's marketing activities. Working across a range of digital channels, you'll help create, coordinate and publish engaging content that supports student recruitment, strengthens our brand and brings the BU experience to life.

In This Hands‑on Role, You'll
  • Create and publish high-quality, audience-focused content across BU's website, course pages, social media channels, virtual tours and other digital platforms, ensuring content is engaging, accurate and aligned with brand and content standards.
  • Work closely with colleagues across the Creative, Campaigns, Student Recruitment and wider Marketing teams to develop compelling content and storytelling that supports marketing, recruitment and brand-building objectives.
  • Contribute to content planning and campaign delivery, helping to create integrated content across multiple channels and deliver a consistent and effective audience experience.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders across faculties and professional services to source, develop and maintain relevant, up-to-date content.
  • Use audience insight, analytics and performance data to evaluate content effectiveness, identify opportunities for optimisation and support continuous improvement.

Our Marketing, Recruitment & Communications department is made up of experts in student recruitment, design, digital, PR, market research and more, all of whom work to support BU’s strategic plan. We work with senior stakeholders to influence recruitment targets and support the university in shaping our portfolio to optimise recruitment. We embed effective internal communications activity throughout the University to ensure academic and professional services staff are well equipped and informed.
