Job description

We’re looking for a part-time Marketing Assistant to work 20 hours per week, with a flexible schedule across Monday to Sunday in the iconic Afflecks building in Manchester. Please specify your preferred working days and times on our application form.

About Afflecks: An indoor market featuring over 70 small, independent traders, designers, makers, and retailers.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Supporting the Marketing team with content creation and social media management across platforms like Meta, TikTok, and Snapchat.
  2. Assisting in planning and executing onsite and offsite events.
  3. Supporting general administrative tasks, including scheduling and calendar management.
  4. Managing merchandise orders and supporting reactive work logging.
  5. Helping with venue opening, closing, hosting, maintenance, and cleaning duties.
  6. Acting as an ambassador for Afflecks, engaging with customers, traders, and colleagues.
  7. Collaborating with traders to promote their businesses and handle queries.
  8. Ensuring health and safety regulations are followed and property security is maintained.
