Job Description:

Venn Group is delighted to be supporting a London-based charitable organisation in the recruitment of a Marketing and Communications Officer for a part-time position. This pivotal role will play a key part in enhancing the charity’s visibility, supporting income generation, and strengthening engagement with a wide range of audiences through compelling and effective communications.

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Develop and implement integrated marketing and communications plans to support fundraising, events, and public engagement
  • Create and manage content across digital platforms, including website, social media, email newsletters, and blog posts
  • Produce engaging campaign materials, press releases, case studies, and reports to promote the charity’s impact and mission
  • Support brand development and ensure consistency in tone, visuals, and messaging across all communications
  • Coordinate with internal teams to gather stories and content that showcase the charity’s work
  • Monitor analytics and performance of communications activity, making data-led recommendations for improvement
  • Support the delivery of public events, supporter communications, and community outreach initiatives
  • Build relationships with media contacts, stakeholders, and partners to maximise PR opportunities
  • Experience in a marketing or communications role, ideally within the charity or not-for-profit sector
  • Strong copywriting, proofreading, and storytelling skills with an eye for detail
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools, CMS platforms (e.g. WordPress), and basic design software (e.g. Canva or Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Confident working independently and managing multiple projects to deadline
  • Enthusiastic, creative, and passionate about charity communications and public engagement
  • Knowledge of SEO, analytics, and paid social advertising is desirable but not essential

Location: Central London

Duration: Permanent

Working hours: Part time (3 days per week)

Working pattern: Hybrid (1–2 days per week on site)
