Job summary

Waythrough is looking for a Marketing and Communications Officer in Bradford to promote our drug and alcohol support services and the voices of lived experience. The role is managed remotely by the communications team but supervised locally by a senior operations member.

You will craft stories, design leaflets, collaborate with councils, attend events, and build strong partnerships. The role offers some home working, 37 hours per week, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong copywriting skills.
  • Excellent administrative abilities with attention to detail.
  • Ability to create engaging written and visual presentations.
  • Comms experience or a qualification in Media/Communications (NVQ level 4).

Responsibilities

  • Craft stories and secure local press coverage.
  • Design leaflets showcasing services to the community.
  • Collaborate with councils to amplify reach and impact.
  • Engage with the community at events and build connections.
  • Lead storytelling campaigns across channels including video.
  • Build strong links with internal and external staff and partners.

What you'll do

As a Marketing and Communications Officer, you will have the exciting opportunity to:

You will be an essential member of a nationwide charity's communications team, backed by Waythrough’s marketing and communications experts. About you

To seize this opportunity, you should possess:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, coupled with exceptional copywriting and creative writing skills.
  • Strong administrative prowess, coupled with attention to detail in all aspects of your work.
  • The ability to bring ideas to life through engaging written and visual presentations.
  • A team player who can build strong connections with a range of internal and external staff and partners.
  • Hands on comms experience or a qualification in Media/Communications (equivalent to NVQ level 4).

The role allows for some home working but most of the time you will be working from our service in Bradford and Keighley. Join us and embark on a rewarding journey as a Marketing and Communications Officer.
