Job description

St George’s School Ascot is seeking to appoint a creative and detail-oriented Marketing Communications Officer to support the delivery of our brand narrative across written and digital platforms. This role sits within a busy, collaborative Marketing Department which is led by the Director of Marketing and External Communications.

This is a part-time role, working an average of 12 -16 hours per week, term-time only (33 weeks). A flexible approach will be required by the successful candidate due to the nature of the post.The School is currently advertising for an Enterprises and Trading Manager and this role can be combined should this interest the candidate and if suitable.

The annual salary for this role will be in the region of £6,150 - £8,200 per annum, dependent on experience (approx. FTE £32,000); additional staff benefits include:

Essential Experience and Attributes:

● Experience in communications, journalism, publishing or marketing, ideally in education or a brand-led environment

● Strong writing and editorial skills, with the ability to adapt tone for different platforms and audiences. A keen eye for detail and strong proofreading capabilities. Good grammar is essential.

● Experience of writing and scheduling social media content including Instagram, Facebook and Linkedin. Demonstrable understanding of social media as a storytelling tool.

● Experience of event planning and delivery

● Organised and responsive, able to manage multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously

● Positive, flexible and collaborative approach; confident working with staff, pupils and parents to source and shape content
