Marketing, Communications and Membership Manager

Location: Eastleigh (2 days remote per week)

As the largest professional association for therapists, with thousands of members, they specialize in sports and remedial therapies, complementary healthcare, and holistic beauty treatments. Run by therapists for therapists, they are dedicated to advancing and protecting their members' interests and career progression. We have a fantastic opportunity for a Marketing, Communications & Membership Manager to join on a permanent basis.

This is a new role in a growing team, offering an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise and creativity in communications and marketing to increase membership, reach, and engagement. You will develop and deliver a multi-channel marketing and communications strategy, oversee its activation, and utilize data insights to grow membership and outreach. The role also includes managing the website as a primary resource and marketing hub.

To succeed, you should be collaborative, organized, and experienced in communications and marketing roles.

The Marketing Communications Manager will be responsible for all marketing and communication activities, brand management, and image to achieve the following objectives:

Core Responsibilities:

  • Increase membership by attracting new members, retaining existing members, and re-engaging lapsed members.
  • Generate additional revenue to expand offerings and support membership growth.
  • Promote organizational successes externally to raise awareness of the organization and the Accredited Register.
  • Oversee a small team including a Marketing Executive, Membership Manager, Editor, and Communications Executive.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor a strategic marketing and communications plan, including regular review of risks, trends, and forecasts.
  • Identify growth and revenue opportunities aligned with organizational goals.
  • Build strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers to secure press coverage and increase public awareness.
  • Utilize effective marketing channels and tactics to support campaigns and membership drives.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all platforms.
  • Enhance member and supporter journeys.
  • Manage the shop facility and budget, including new product and branding development.
  • Initiate and manage marketing projects effectively.
  • Oversee the marketing budget.
  • Collaborate with Membership and Insurance Teams to develop strategies for member attraction, retention, and engagement.
  • Regularly communicate with members via various channels to foster relationships and gather feedback.
  • Identify opportunities to expand the membership base and develop targeted outreach strategies.
  • Implement retention strategies to reduce churn and boost member satisfaction.
  • Provide accurate reports on membership statistics, working with relevant teams for reliable data.
