Join us as a Marketing Category and Sourcing Manager at Barclays, to optimize and address Barclays' third-party spend requirements, including the definition, development, and implementation of approaches for relevant spend categories in close collaboration with the business and the execution of strategic sourcing across various marketing categories.

Purpose of the role

To optimize and address Barclays' third-party spend requirements through defining, developing, and implementing strategies for relevant spend categories, collaborating closely with the business, and executing strategic sourcing and channel development.

Accountabilities
  • Profile spend in the category area, understand business strategy, requirements, cost levers, and opportunities. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify sourcing needs, develop RFPs, and align sourcing activities with bank priorities.
  • Plan and execute sourcing events, including RFPs/RFXs, and negotiate to meet business needs for value, speed, compliance, and risk.
  • Monitor controls and compliance throughout the sourcing cycle, including regulatory engagement, controls, audits, and data quality.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures aligned with standards, compliance, and regulations.
  • Identify and deliver opportunities to improve sourcing processes, including channel optimization.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, participate in conferences, training, and market research.
  • Advise and influence decision-making, contribute to policy development, and collaborate with other functions.
  • Lead a team performing complex tasks, set objectives, coach, and appraise performance.
  • Demonstrate leadership behaviors: Listen, Energize, Align, Develop, or guide team members through assignments.
  • Consult on complex issues, support policy development, and manage risks.
  • Collaborate across areas to achieve organizational objectives.
