Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated and proactiveMarketing Assistantto join our team for a 12-month work placement. As a key member of the marketing team, you will be involved in a range of exciting projects and day-to-day activities to support our marketing campaigns. You’ll have the opportunity to enhance your marketing knowledge, gain valuable experience, and contribute to the growth of both our agency and our clients.

Key Responsibilities

Your role will include, but will not be limited to:

Social Media Management:

• Assist in the management and scheduling of content across all social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X).
• Monitor social media channels, engage with the audience, and track campaign performance.
• Help create and curate engaging posts, stories, and graphics that align with the agency’s brand voice. We love a creative thinker!

Content Creation:

• Support the content team in writing blogs, articles, newsletters, and social media captions.
• Assist with the creation of visual content (including graphics and videos) using tools like Canva and Adobe Suite. Training will be provided.
• Ensure all content reflects Golden Egg’s tone, values, and brand guidelines.

Marketing Campaign Support:

• Assist in executing marketing campaigns, including email marketing, social media ads, and search engine marketing.
• Help with research and analysis of target markets and competitor performance.

Reporting and Analytics:

• Assist with tracking and analyzing marketing performance using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media insights).
• Create reports to present data and insights to the team, helping us continually improve our strategies.

Administrative Support:

• Provide general administrative support to the marketing team, including scheduling meetings, tracking marketing activities, and assisting with client communications.
• Maintain an organised filing system for content, assets, and marketing documents.

Requirements

• University Student: You must be currently enrolled in a degree program (preferably in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field) and looking for a 12-month placement year as part of your studies.
• Passion for Marketing: A strong interest in digital marketing, social media, and content creation.
• Basic Digital Skills: Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.) and basic knowledge of tools like Microsoft Office and Google Analytics.
• Creative and Independent Thinker: Strong writing and creative skills, with the ability to generate ideas and craft engaging content.
• Proactive & Self-Motivated: Able to work independently, take initiative, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Great Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to engage with both internal teams and external audiences.
