Job summary

Education Partnership North East (EPNE) invites applications for a Marketing Assistant to join the Marketing & Student Recruitment team. The role supports campaigns, website content, student recruitment activity and day-to-day marketing operations across the group.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 qualification in Marketing, Business, Digital Media, Communications or equivalent.
  • Experience with digital content, social media or websites is essential.
  • Experience using WordPress CMS and Microsoft Office suite are required.

Responsibilities

  • Support planning, delivery and evaluation of marketing campaigns across digital and offline channels.
  • Update and maintain website content, course information and campaign landing pages.
  • Create, schedule and manage content for social media and websites following brand guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Creative, Digital, Curriculum and Student Recruitment teams.
  • Support open events, recruitment activities and provide excellent customer service.
  • Raise purchase orders, process invoices and monitor marketing spend and performance.

About The Candidate

We're looking for a highly organised, proactive, and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about marketing and keen to develop their skills within a busy and supportive team. The successful candidate will be a confident communicator, able to build positive relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and external partners while maintaining a professional and collaborative approach. They will be comfortable managing multiple priorities, have excellent attention to detail, and demonstrate a willingness to take ownership of tasks to ensure projects are delivered effectively.

About The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join EPNE's Marketing and Communications team as a Marketing Assistant supporting the delivery of marketing campaigns, website content, student recruitment activity, and day-to-day marketing operations across the group. This role is a fixed-term contract until May 2027 and offers hands‑on experience across a broad range of marketing disciplines, making it an ideal opportunity for someone looking to start or develop their career in marketing.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting marketing campaigns, website updates, social media activity, recruitment events, reporting, and administrative processes. They will work closely with colleagues across Marketing, Creative, Digital, Curriculum and Student Recruitment teams, providing valuable exposure to a range of stakeholders and projects.

Role Responsibilities
  • Support the planning, delivery and evaluation of marketing campaigns across digital and offline channels, helping to promote courses, events and student recruitment activity.
  • Update and maintain website content, course information and campaign landing pages to ensure information is accurate, engaging and up to date.
  • Create, schedule and manage content for social media, websites and other marketing communications, following brand guidelines and audience needs.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across Marketing, Creative, Curriculum and Student Recruitment teams, as well as external suppliers and agencies, to support the delivery of projects and campaigns.
  • Support the planning and delivery of open events, recruitment events and other promotional activities, providing excellent customer service and administrative support
  • Raise purchase orders, process invoices, maintain accurate budget trackers and support the monitoring of marketing spend and campaign performance.
Qualifications
  • Level 3 qualification in Marketing, Business, Digital Media, Communications or a related subject, or equivalent relevant experience.
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Experience creating content and copy for digital channels, social media or websites.
  • Experience using social media platforms in a professional, educational or personal capacity.
  • Experience using WordPress website management systems (CMS).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritise workload, work independently and follow tasks through to completion.
  • Experience maintaining records, trackers or spreadsheets with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience managing budgets, purchase orders or financial administration.
Desirable Skills & Experience
  • Experience supporting marketing campaigns, events or promotional activities.
  • Understanding of basic digital marketing principles, including SEO, website performance and campaign reporting.
  • Experience working with external suppliers, agencies or stakeholders.
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
