Day to Day Duties
As a Marketing Assistant, your duties will be, but not limited to:
- Content Creation: Assist in the creation of marketing materials, including digital content, brochures, newsletters, and product descriptions.
- Social Media Management: Support the management and growth of our social media channels by creating posts, monitoring engagement, and scheduling content.
- Campaign Support: Collaborate with the team to plan and execute online and offline marketing campaigns, ensuring brand consistency across all channels.
- Event Coordination: Assist with organising company events, exhibitions, and trade shows, including preparation of promotional materials and logistics.
- Digital Marketing: Assist in the execution of digital marketing strategies, including search engine optimisation (SEO) efforts to improve website visibility and organic search rankings.
- Email Marketing: Support the creation and management of email marketing campaigns, including audience segmentation, template design, and performance analysis.
- Market Research: Conduct research to understand industry trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to support the development of effective marketing strategies.
- Database Management: Help manage customer and prospect databases, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date information for email marketing and outreach campaigns.
- Reporting: Assist with tracking and reporting on digital marketing and campaign performance using relevant metrics and analytics tools (Google Analytics, email marketing platforms).
- Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the marketing department as needed, including managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and handling communications.
Skills needed to be a Marketing Assistant with our client are:
- Education: A degree or relevant qualification in marketing, business, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
- Experience: Prior experience in marketing or related roles is desirable, particularly in digital marketing, SEO, and email marketing.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), experience with social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter), and familiarity with marketing tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Mailchimp, SEO tools like SEMrush).
- Digital Marketing Knowledge: Understanding of SEO best practices and how to optimise content for search engines. Experience with email marketing platforms and the ability to segment lists and design templates for campaigns.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling content and communicate effectively across multiple platforms.
- Creativity: Ability to generate fresh ideas for marketing campaigns and problem-solving in a creative manner.
- Time Management: Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to Detail: High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in all marketing materials and communications.
