We have 3 vacancies for a Marketing Assistant working across various events.
2 x Safety & Security Event Series (The Health & safety Event, The Security event, The Fire Safety Event, The Workplace Event, Pro Integration Future)
1 x Commercial Vehicle Show

Please note that these roles will require you to be in the office daily, which is located in Wimbledon. Please only apply if this is convenient for you.

Starting salary will be between £24,000 p.a - £26,000 p.a dependant on experience + a 20% bonus

The Role
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team in the capacity of a Marketing Assistant. The core responsibility of this role is to drive registrations, cultivate community engagement, and elevate brand visibility across our diverse portfolio of events.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in implementing campaigns through digital channels and will be responsible for supporting diverse marketing and administrative functions. A key requirement is proficiency in utilising social media platforms and other digital channels to expand our outreach effectively.

As a result, we are constantly striving to push the boundaries with our events and deliver a rewarding experience for both exhibitors and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with the Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to support the preparation of key stakeholders for a series of trade shows.
  • Social media management including content generation, post promotions, community building to drive awareness and registrations
  • Plan & create content for our event social media accounts, post & manage content on all social media accounts primarily on Linkedin, Facebook, Twitter & Tik Tok. This means you will need to be a creative thinker and be able to turn that creativity into content in the forms of:
    • Graphics
    • Videos & Animations
    • Text Posts
    • New product releases
  • Coordinate and support on multi-channel marketing campaigns
  • Update websites, ensuring content is up to date and accurate
  • Stakeholder management with speakers and support the marketing operations executive in logistics and promotions
  • Coordinate market research activity as necessary in line with the business objectives
  • General Customer Service – Dealing with ongoing inbound phone calls and queries
  • Marketing through exhibitors campaigns – support and assist the marketing operations executive, including:
    • Regular communication by email and phone to promote event guide entry and free marketing tool usage
    • Collation of event guide entries and collation of entries
    • Sending of marketing collateral to exhibitors
    • Online Exhibition List management
    • Exhibitor Zone set up, access and maintenance
    • Ongoing queries
  • Data analysis and builds, community building and databases
  • Other relevant tasks as requested by the management and team .

This role is perfectly suited to a pro-active and flexible individual who is willing to learn and take on new challenges. Excellent planning and organisational skills, and the ability to multi-task will be essential to thrive in a fast-paced but supportive environment. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people and remain calm under pressure whilst matching a first-class work ethic with a sense of fun.

Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours:
  • Graduate/Entry level - Marketing experience is advantageous
  • Highly proactive and happy to take on a challenge
  • Multi-tasking with the ability to prioritise relevant tasks
  • A team player that is collaborative in nature
  • Analytical and able to draw conclusions and make recommendations
  • Excellent interpersonal and strong communication skills
  • Strong copywriting and proofing skills
  • Creative eye and strong attention to detail
  • Canva, Hubspot, Chatgpt, Capcut - advantageous
  • Proficient in social media channels Linkedin, Facebook, Twitter, Tiktok
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
