Job Title: Social Media & Marketing Assistant (Graduate Opportunity)

Location: Glasgow (2 days in office, 3 days from home)

Contract: Permanent / Full-Time

Salary: £25,000 - £27,000

SmartSTEMs are a passionate and energetic charity that exists to create opportunities and break down barriers for young people, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds, to discover and explore STEM subjects. Through innovative events and inspiring campaigns, they showcase what’s possible and achievable for the next generation.

Due to their continued growth, SmartSTEMs are now looking for a creative and enthusiastic Social Media & Marketing Assistant to join their team in Glasgow.

The Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate who wants to use their marketing skills to make a real difference. You’ll be the voice of SmartSTEMs across digital platforms, creating inspiring content and helping elevate their messaging and reach. Alongside social media management, you’ll have the opportunity to work across a variety of marketing channels and support exciting projects that showcase the incredible work SmartSTEMs do.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and growing SmartSTEMs’ social media presence
  • Creating engaging content (video, imagery, written copy) to inspire young people and their communities
  • Supporting marketing campaigns and digital strategies to reach a wider audience
  • Assisting with ad hoc marketing tasks across multiple channels, including events support
  • Analysing performance data and contributing ideas for content optimisation and audience engagement

Skills & Experience:

  • Recent graduate (ideally with a degree in Marketing, Communications or similar)
  • Creative, full of energy and positive ideas
  • Confident working across social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, X, Facebook)
  • Excited about trying new things, experimenting with content and driving engagement
  • Passionate about doing good in the world and making a difference
