Job description

Marketing Assistant

This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly formed marketing team within the Underwriting and Distribution division of PIB Group Ltd. The team combines the in‑house expertise of a full-service marketing department with the specialist capabilities of an external agency. As ‘Channel Marketing’ business partners, you’ll work alongside generalist marketers and be supported by subject‑matter experts in creative, brand, digital, UX and research.

With more than 15 specialist brands across sectors such as childcare, healthcare, pet, motor and lifestyle insurance, this role will give you hands‑on marketing experience across a diverse portfolio.

As a Marketing Assistant, you’ll support the Marketing Manager and the wider team with campaign delivery, coordination, and day-to-day marketing activity. You’ll play a key role in helping to implement marketing plans across digital, content, events, and partner activity, with a focus on learning, development, and teamwork.

The role attracts a salary of up to £28,000 per annum depending on experience, hybrid working and 35 hours per week - Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of marketing campaigns across multiple brands and channels (e.g., digital, social, email, and events) in line with business objectives.
  • Assist in coordinating partner and affiliate marketing activity, helping to maintain relationships and deliver joint campaigns.
  • Help track and report on marketing performance, providing data to support campaign reviews and ongoing improvement.
  • Liaise with the internal design studio and marketing team to brief and review campaign assets and content.
  • Support the planning and delivery of events (e.g., trade shows, conferences, awards, webinars), including logistics coordination and promotional material preparation.
  • Work with the digital team to schedule and publish content across digital properties, social media and email platforms.
  • Assist in maintaining campaign calendars and documentation to ensure accurate planning and delivery.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the marketing team as required.

About You

  • Ideally some experience in a marketing role or relevant internship/work placement.
  • A basic understanding of marketing principles and the full marketing mix.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop within a fast-paced, multi-brand environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage deadlines.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable using basic marketing tools and software (e.g., email marketing platforms, Canva, Microsoft Office).
  • Team player who’s proactive, enthusiastic, and willing to take ownership of smaller tasks while learning from senior colleagues.
  • Previous experience in a regulated environment is a bonus but not essential.

Why Join Us?

  • Competitive salary and benefits package
  • Flexible working and holiday options
  • Pension, enhanced parental leave, and life insurance
  • Discounts on technology, travel, and leisure
  • Learning and development opportunities
  • Volunteering and charity support days
