Job description

We are delighted to be recruiting for an experienced and commercially minded Marketing & Communications Specialist to join a growing and ambitious business. This is a broad and influential role where you will help shape how the organisation positions itself in the market, communicates the value of its solutions and supports continued business growth.

Working closely with the Head of Marketing & Communications and stakeholders across the wider business, you will translate commercial priorities, customer challenges and technical propositions into clear, compelling marketing activity that builds awareness, strengthens customer understanding and supports demand generation. This would suit an experienced marketing professional who enjoys combining strategy with delivery and who is confident working across campaigns, content, positioning, events and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic marketing and communications plans aligned with commercial priorities and market opportunities.
  • Create and deliver go-to-market strategies for key services, solutions and sectors.
  • Plan and deliver integrated campaigns across digital and offline channels.
  • Support account-based marketing activity by working with business development and client-facing teams to identify priority accounts and target audiences.
  • Develop customer-focused messaging and value propositions for different stakeholder groups.
  • Translate complex or technical propositions into clear, engaging and commercially relevant communications.
  • Create and manage content plans across campaigns and channels.
  • Produce high-quality content including case studies, thought leadership, sales materials, presentations, digital content and stakeholder communications.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen brand visibility and position senior leaders as credible industry voices.
  • Plan and coordinate events, trade shows and exhibitions.
  • Track and analyse campaign performance, using data and insight to improve effectiveness and inform future activity.
  • Support the prioritisation of marketing budgets and resources to ensure activity delivers measurable value.

We are looking for a confident, creative and commercially aware marketing professional who can operate at both strategic and hands-on level. You will be comfortable taking a business objective, understanding the audience and market, and then developing the messaging, campaign and activity required to bring it to life. You will also be someone who enjoys collaboration, can build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and is comfortable managing multiple priorities at once.

You will ideally have:
  • Strong experience within integrated marketing, communications, brand or campaign delivery.
  • Excellent copywriting and storytelling skills.
  • The ability to turn complex or technical information into clear, engaging customer-focused messaging.
  • Strong campaign planning, project management and organisational skills.
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience across digital marketing channels, social media, content management systems and marketing analytics.
  • A commercially minded approach and an understanding of how marketing supports business growth.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a data-led approach to decision making.
  • Experience within a technical, engineering, industrial or complex B2B environment would be advantageous, as would experience of account-based marketing, media relations, thought leadership and trade events.

his is a role with real scope to influence how the business goes to market and how its solutions are positioned with customers. You will have the opportunity to work across strategy, campaigns, content, events and commercial marketing activity, while collaborating with colleagues across the wider business. This is not simply a content or communications role. It offers the chance to play a meaningful part in shaping market presence, supporting growth and ensuring marketing activity is closely aligned with commercial priorities.
