Hours of Work:
Mostly 9.00am - 5.30pm, however some evening work required /30 minutes for lunch.

Marketing & Communications Executive Role Overview
- To assist in devising and delivering the annual marketing & communications plan, to support membership, accommodation, food & beverage, kitchen, fundraising and events within the Club.
- Plan, manage and coordinate social media strategies producing engaging content for e.g. Instagram, Facebook & X. If required, respond to social media posts at the weekend.
- Participate and interact with community discussion responding to online queries across all social media channels, providing exceptional customer service.
- Work with creative services such as Canva to create compelling text, video, and graphic print materials that align with the Royal Air Force Club branding including flyers, notices, and promotional material.
- Act as a liaison point of contact for marketing and communications, assisting with collateral requests, e.g. menus, flyers, brochures (designed in-house or outsourced).
- To support the Head of Membership & Communications with day-to-day website management.
- Craft compelling written content for monthly e-newsletters and annual Club magazine.
- Serve as the Club’s in-house photographer, conducting photo shoots and handling post-production to create visually compelling content. This includes monthly updates for dining room menus, afternoon teas, bedroom and facility images, staff portraits, smaller social events, and Club Shop product photography, ensuring a steady stream of high-quality, updated digital assets to support marketing initiatives.
- Manage and craft engaging written content for the Club website, including the promotion of the members' social events programme, special offers, and relevant blog posts.
- Ensure maintenance of the Club’s brand and Brand Guidelines on and offline.
- Website management of Club’s Shopify account, help with sourcing of new items: e.g. annual Christmas Cards. Work with the Front of House team & Stock Controller, tracking monthly sales & planning promotions.
- Produce the marketing and communications report for Board of Trustees meetings, documenting key insights to drive engagement and inform future strategies.
- Monitor and respond to media enquiries via the Press Inbox.
- Ensure all third-party online listings and directories are kept up to date & relevant with copy & photography.
- Participate in the Club’s Lobby Host programme.
Key Skills and Attributes:
- Confident and articulate communicator with excellent written and spoken English, capable of adapting tone to reflect the Royal Air Force Club’s distinctive brand voice
- Photography skills - specifically food and event photography
- Passionate about hospitality, marketing, and social media, with a collaborative mindset
- Good working knowledge of Canva, Microsoft Office; Word and Excel, as well as social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, and X.
- Smart and well-presented team player, happy to liaise with members
- Strong ability to craft engaging and effective copy for digital collateral such as the Club website, social media and email newsletters, and printed materials, including the annual Club Magazine and Brochures
- Demonstrated experience in marketing and social media management within a professional environment
- Experience working within the hospitality industry or a private members’ club environment
- Good working knowledge of CRM systems, Shopify and Later
- Confident with database use and manipulation of data & reporting
- Professional experience with the Adobe Creative Suite particularly withLightroom/Photoshop
