Job description

Home Marketing and Communications Assistant

The post holder will assist in the marketing and communications for Bridport Arts Centre’s wide-ranging programme and the Bridport Prize.

  • Fixed-term contract, initially 12 months with the possibility to extend pending review

As a key member of the team, the role will be responsible for a steady, high-volume flow of engaging content across Bridport Arts Centre (BAC), the Bridport Prize and the From Page to Screen film festival’s various marketing and communications channels. Working with colleagues from all departments, the role provides a variety of tasks that contribute to our success, through visibility, reach and stakeholder relationships.

Key activities include:

  • Producing quick turnaround of materials, both physical and digital.
  • Maintaining stakeholder relationships – including audience members, prize entrants, BAC visitors, sponsors and supporters.
  • Providing support to the Marketing and Communications Manager and other colleagues.
Person specifications

You are a creative individual with good foundation skills and knowledge and the drive to learn and develop within a small team. You can deliver a high volume of content and output, working collaboratively, while also being comfortable and motivated to work independently on your specific tasks. You are confident to work closely with a wide range of individuals, organisations and businesses, and understand the importance of maintaining strong professional relationships. Keen to muck in and make things happen, you are passionate about literature and arts, their power to transform society and to inspire.
