What will you be doing?

As a Marketing and Communications Apprentice, your duties and responsibilities will be (but not limited to):

  • Provide assistance to the wider marketing team in the effective delivery of external and internal marketing communication activities across multiple channels.
  • Contribute to the production of marketing and communications materials such as presentations, brochures, reports, print and digital assets.
  • Work with Marketing Communications Executives and Marketing Managers to produce content for internal and external channels such as social media, website and intranet updates and email.
  • Support in the editing and upload of website amends through a CMS platform.
  • Support and execute marketing team administrative duties.
  • Attend college sessions and complete apprenticeship learning and assessment requirements.

About you...

The successful candidate will need to meet the following ‘must have’ criteria:

  • Level 2 or higher in Literacy and Numeracy.
  • A keen interest in Marketing, Business, Media in Communications.
  • Willingness and ability to commit to Level 3 Apprenticeship.
  • Demonstrates a proactive approach to personal development and learning.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point and Outlook.

Other ‘useful to have’ criteria includes:

  • No prior marketing experience required, but part time work experience, volunteering, school/project work or personal initiatives (social media account or blog) would be advantageous.
  • Experience of working in a team or customer facing environment.
  • Basic understanding of Marketing principles and Digital platforms (social media, websites).
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Suite including InDesign, Illustrator and Premier Pro and Canva.
  • An understanding of CRM.
  • Awareness of marketing trends and technologies.
