Job Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing and Business Development Assistant to join TLT. This is a permanent role which can be based from any of our offices (Bristol, London, Manchester, Belfast or Glasgow) with some travel to other locations.

Reporting to the Senior Marketing Operations Manager and part of the Marketing Operations team, you will work closely with the Business Development, Marketing, Bids, Events and Client Development teams to support marketing initiatives.

This role is ideal for a highly organized marketing and business development all-rounder, as you’ll work across diverse projects and campaigns. You will also collaborate with professionals from our FutureLaw, Knowledge Management, L&D, ED&I, Sustainability, Risk, and IT teams, requiring excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.

Your Role
Business Development & Bids support
  • Producing first draft credentials documents, proposals, and pitch presentations to support new business.
  • Assisting with onboarding new senior hires.
  • Supporting the Bids team on formal bid opportunities, maintaining a library of precedent texts.
  • Creating bid template structures based on requirements and evaluation criteria.
  • Tracking and reporting bid activity across sectors and service lines.
  • Collecting and collating bid feedback to identify themes.
  • Managing referees and annual submissions to legal directories.
Communications and events
  • Assisting with virtual, in-person, and hybrid events, corporate hospitality, and internal events.
  • Supporting marketing campaigns and communications, including website content, email updates, and media recordings.
  • Sourcing firm merchandise.
  • Managing BD collateral like event stands and physical assets.
  • Supporting awards submissions and attendance.
Client Development
  • Organizing and following up on internal client meetings.
  • Ensuring CRM system is updated and generating reports.
  • Supporting external client meetings and training, preparing supporting documents and research.
  • Assisting with internal and external communications promoting client work.
Team support
  • Onboarding and induction of new team members.
  • Reporting on team and firm expenditure.
  • Organizing team meetings.
Your Skills and Experience
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Interpersonal skills, confident, proactive, and collaborative.
  • Experience in a professional services environment.
  • Business Development/Marketing experience is advantageous but not essential.
  • Experience with BD/marketing technologies is a plus.
  • Keen interest in legal sector and client support.
Your Team

You will report to a Business Development Manager and be part of the Business Development & Marketing team, involved in creating brand awareness and exploring new business opportunities through various channels.
