Marketing and BD Assistant, Operations Team – Colchester

Our Marketing team plays a pivotal role in promoting our brand, services and solicitors. You would be based in our Colchester office and would provide crucial support to the Marketing Manager and Marketing Executive. Holding a driving licence would be an advantage.

The Role

As a Marketing Assistant, you will support the Marketing team in executing campaigns, creating engaging content, and undertaking any necessary activities to ensure the smooth running of marketing operations. You will have the chance to contribute ideas, develop your skills, and make a meaningful impact on our projects as well as taking ownership over various projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing / own various schedules e.g. the BD calendar, the social media calendar, events calendar and related diary invites, as well as helping to keep on top of the Marketing inbox.
  • Assisting in the planning, creation, and execution of marketing campaigns.
  • Writing and editing content for the internal newsletter, social media, emails, website, collateral and promotional materials.
  • Managing and updating the company’s social media platforms and updating the website.
  • Conducting market research to support campaign strategies and identify trends.
  • Organising and supporting with events, including liaising with suppliers and coordinating logistics.
  • Monitoring and reporting on campaign performance using analytics tools.
  • Supporting the team with administrative tasks and ad hoc marketing duties.
About You

We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised individual with a passion for marketing. You will have excellent communication and writing skills, a creative mindset and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Familiarity with Excel and Sharepoint as well as social media platforms and basic design tools (e.g., Canva, Indesign or Adobe Creative Suite) is advantageous, but not essential. Previous experience in a marketing or administrative role is beneficial but not required, as for the right candidate, full training will be provided.

We offer a competitive salary, depending on level of experience and ability.

  • We offer a full time annual holiday entitlement of 22 days, plus Bank Holidays, with an additional 3 days for the Christmas to New Year closure. The annual holiday entitlement is pro-rated for part time staff.
