Job description

The Marketing and Administrative Assistant will be responsible for a range of duties, including supporting marketing activity in line with the MBC Marketing Strategy, & general administrative support.

Full time flexible home based role (35 hours/week excluding lunch breaks). Salary: £24,000/year plus pension contribution

Main Duties
To work with the Marketing Manager to plan, implement and review marketing activity for MBC including digital, monitoring and evaluation, and show and tour marketing.
To work with the Executive Producer to undertake general office and administration duties as required
To attend and document MBC events and performances for sharing on digital and archive as required
To work with the Marketing Manager to produce and schedule engaging content across social media channels, edit and update the MBC website, and curate targeted e-communications
To assist the Marketing Manager and Producer in liaising with venues, festivals and promoters regarding show marketing
To assist the Marketing Manager and MBC Team with the collection, review and evaluation of monitoring and evaluation data
To assist with the planning, implementation and evaluation of marketing plans to agreed budgets and timescales
To assist with the creation of marketing materials in house – print, e-newsletters, teacher training packs etc.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential Skills
Sound knowledge of marketing tools, planning and implementation
Sound knowledge of using and evaluating social media including Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and Vimeo
Creativity and flair for design and communication
A commitment to equalities and diversity
Strong written communication skills
Ability to work to deadlines
Some experience of copywriting and proofing
Baseline graphic design skills
The ability to work from home independently and as part of a team
Good organisational and time management skills
Experience in office systems – Dropbox, Microsoft Office
Good communication skills
Accurate note taking skills

Desirable Skills
Appreciation and knowledge of dance
Experience of marketing in an arts environment
Knowledge and experience of:
- social media scheduling and monitoring tools
- TikTok, Bluesky, LinkedIn or other social platforms
- Canva (or similar), and CapCut (or similar)
- film editing
- e-communications tools eg Brevo
- audience feedback and evaluation tools eg Survey Monkey,Google Forms
