About the Market Strategy & Planning Manager role:

As a key player in our UK & Ireland business, you'll lead the development and integration of a brand-new Market Strategy & Planning (MS&P) function, shaping the future of our commercial strategy.

Key responsibilities of our Market Strategy & Planning Manager:


  • Lead commercial performance of UK & Ireland distributors, delivering on sales, ROI, and market share targets

  • Establish and lead a new function for long-term market strategy, planning, and performance tracking

  • Develop and execute commercial strategies across pricing, distribution, and promotions

  • Build and manage senior relationships with partners and key accounts to align on brand and market goals

  • Collaborate across Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain to ensure aligned planning and execution

  • Represent commercial strategy at key customer meetings and Brand Days

  • Coach and grow a high-performing team with strong development plans and accountability

  • Monitor market trends, evaluate promotions, and drive revenue and range optimisation

What we’re looking for in our Market Strategy & Planning Manager:

Experience you'll bring


  • Proven experience in Senior Account Management or Market Strategy & Planning, ideally within FMCG and distributor-led models.

  • 10+ years of commercial experience with major UK/Ireland suppliers or distributors.

  • Strong understanding of customer planning tools, trade spend management, and promotional mechanics.

  • Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and influencing at senior levels.

  • Proven people management experience and good coaching skills.

  • Experience in building or leading strategic planning functions is highly desirable.
