We own 16 of the world’s top 100 Spirits Brands and hold one of the most prestigious and comprehensive brand portfolios in the industry with 240 premium brands available in over 160 countries, including: Absolut vodka, Ballantine’s, Chivas Regal, Royal Salute, and The Glenlivet Scotch whiskies, Jameson Irish whiskey, Martell cognac, Havana Club rum, Beefeater, Malfy and Monkey 47 gins, Malibu liqueur, Mumm and Perrier-Jouët champagnes as well Jacob’s Creek, Brancott Estate and Campo Viejo wines.

Here in the UK

In the UK, Pernod Ricard is made up of 4 businesses:

  • Pernod Ricard UK, which markets, sells and distributes our products in the UK market
  • Chivas Brothers, the largest brand company in the Group, responsible for the production and management of our award-winning Scotch whisky portfolio
  • Pernod Ricard Global Travel Retail, the global and EMEA home of the group’s duty free, air travel and cruises business.
  • The Absolut Group, the brand owner of our global white spirits portfolio, whose Gin brand unit and Business Acceleration team sit in London.

Your new team

This position sits in our Global Travel Retail business. Global Travel Retail is one of the Group’s largest markets, bringing Pernod Ricard brands to life in the exciting and innovative Travel Retail channel which includes duty-free, cruise ships & border shops around the globe. With a global footprint across more than 20 locations and over 30 nationalities, our working culture celebrates inclusion and diversity. Our team is united by our shared passion for travel and our shared belief in its transformative power. Travel to the heart of our exciting business with our @pernodricardtravel Instagram page, showcasing our latest projects and innovations around the globe.

The Role

As the Market Strategy and Intelligence Analyst, you will be responsible for consolidating, analysing, and presenting data, intelligence & insights for Spirits within the channel. This includes Global Travel Retail (GTR) environment trends, market trends (volume/value), competitor activity & passenger numbers. You will also be required to provide support to the central Marketing team and Regional Business Units and other stakeholders across the business, such as Finance and the Commercial teams.

Your Unique Contribution

You will work closely with the Strategy & Transformation Lead on strategic projects, the planning cycle, and business reporting. This includes supporting internal discussions, customer meetings, and industry engagement, while acting as the key point of contact for Brand Teams and Regional Business Units.

Your role will involve providing data, intelligence, and analytical support. You will assist in sourcing reliable data and intelligence, ensuring quality and consistency.

You will also be responsible for creating accurate intelligence reports using internal and external databases, and for sharing and presenting these insights with relevant stakeholders.

You will contribute to multiple strategic initiatives with cross-functional teams—such as opportunity mapping, business forecasting, and category and market understanding.

You will lead market share reporting and analysis, and be responsible for the monthly Sell Out reporting—ensuring timely and high-quality delivery. This includes providing customised analysis and qualitative commentary informed by your broader understanding of the business and input from commercial teams.

You will manage relationships with third-party agencies providing industry data, dashboards and help ensure insights from these sources are effectively shared across the business.

You will report to and support the Strategy & Transformation Lead across a range of projects, reporting streams, and analytical tasks.

Your blend of talent

This position could be right for you if you have:

  • Strong experience in data analysis, business analysis or consumer research
  • Good business awareness and acumen – to be able to have holistic and long-term view of business
  • Strong ability to engage with regional teams to gather insights and feedback on local market dynamics, customer behaviour, and sell-out/market share trends—and synthesise these into concise, actionable global reporting
  • A high level of mathematical ability with problem-solving skills and a methodical and logical approach
  • The ability to analyse, model and interpret a large volume of data.
  • Good project management, planning and organisation skills to plan work and meet deadlines
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint competency
  • Excellent relationship building and communication & influencing skills – able to build relationships and communicate & influence cross-functionally and across all levels of the business
